Sharing a photo from the pop up of the new Uniqlo x Studio Ghibli collab in Singapore - Yubaba was making her appearance over the weekend and I decided to show up with my Zeniba tee. Haha. Was so tempted to bring my Yubaba bag along but it was rainy and I didn’t want to bring along the bag and risk too much rain exposure!

I like Yubaba too….However ,I found that the Yubaba bag of Loewe should be called
Zeniba bag..(see image ). She is translucent.. therefore ..she should be Zeniba..

Love it - is it a HMC collab or a variety of Ghibli things?

i found the last item on my wishlist on fp! it came today and i'm so happy to finally have it in my hands, though tbh i'm also a bit paranoid that it might be a replica so i'm combing this thread to see what your other dice pockets look like.

I love this!!
I own the Heen bifold wallet (same color and design) purchased from the Loewe website, and used it extensively all summer. It looks the same as your dice pocket here, down to the stitches and texture of the grained leather! I'm very sure this is authentic! :)

Has anyone else seen this listing for the Howl Amazona on ebay? I'm tempted but...scared...

I saw it and was surprised by the price since it retailed at $4500 and was so rare. I have this bag and it looks good to me but the fakes for this collection have been quite impressive. Perhaps ask for a receipt/more info from the seller?

Happy to post photos of mine if you want to compare any areas in particular.

Yes! The price really surprised me since its being sold for twice elsewhere. I'm not familiar with authenticating Loewe so I might go to the store tomorrow / do some research to see what I should be looking for.

Thanks so much for offering!

Sorry, i couldn't get over Loewe x Studio Ghibli. Still hoping for more, hence going back to Totoro collaboration I've missed.

Sharing the final look of my Totoro soot sprite basket that is adorned with the Totoro flower I've been looking for and finally saw the listing and grabbed it. ❤️😍

It only complete with the flower charm. 🙃

For those of you buying Loewe x Ghibli items on the pre-loved market, please be careful. I thought it would be too hard to copy the marquetry and that the Ghibli capsule collections were too niche to fake, but where there's interest and money, seems there's enough incentive to make a fake.

This was my first Loewe item so I was uninitiated and super excited when I got this. Since then I bought another cardholder, a small vertical wallet, a dice pocket, sterling silver charm, leather Heen bag strap dice, all from the Ghibli collections and a flamenco mini from the Joe Brainard capsule.

Side by side with all the items, the difference was clear as day - the box colour, the bag weave, the booklet, the zipper engravings, the leather and stamping on the inside, all looked different. I realised it was a fake and my heart sank! Since then, I have raised a claim/complaint (purchased via ebay) and they've agreed to a refund.

Please see the pics below, I can't tell how an uninitiated person would ever know. Are there any tell-tale signs you can see?

TBH, the only things that might have tipped me off was the fact that the stamping is really deep? The Loewe anagram and stamps on the inside of my Magical Sky cardholder aren't set as deep (which actually feels like that would be an indicator that it's more fake - funny how sometimes the real thing might seem less quality). Maybe also that the Howl's Moving Castle booklet wasn't included in the box? But this is a very, very solid fake. Not surprising nowadays unfortunately.

Agree, both the Loewe anagram and Ghibli stamps on the inside look too deep. Also the stitching (in the last picture) look a little crooked and uneven. Finally, the dust bag fabric looks too stiff and the knot closure looks sloppy. But agree, the marquetry looks alarmingly good!

Fakes are crazy these days! I had posted here about a Otori-Sama wallet on Fashionphile I was interested in but was suspicious. I pulled the trigger anyways because I had the option for free return and it was so obviously a fake. But it was INSANELY well made. The marquetry, dimensions, etc. was identical. What clued me into it was the thickness of the leather, the smell and the feel of it in hand. Another clue specifically for this wallet was that 4-5 other listings had the wallet with the same control # and identical photos. Otherwise it was honestly impossible to tell from photos.

Ethics aside, I'm not totally against fakes/replicas in general considering the ridiculous prices of the luxury market now. Instead, I'm really against people selling fakes as if they're real. If you're gonna sell me a fake give it to me for $50, don't try to trick me 😂
