Someone asked about the tote bag? It's very beautiful but larger than I could carry and the texture (esp of the faces) seemed to be ridging a bit...

It feels like it's 2x taller than the yubaba tote from last year

I also didn't love the blanket until I saw this display...

Did anyone buy the mini castle? How exactly will you use it...?

Oof they both look like they need moisturiser on that tote. I had a moment where I considered it but they only modelled it on a man on the website. I’m only 5’3” and I want a tote I can both sling over a shoulder and hand carry.

I’m curious if anyone knows how many pieces were made of each item? For example like 1/9,000?

I bought the small black puzzle, the pink howl heel, the magical sky wallet, the purple calcifer Amazona, and the calcifer leather charm! Located in the USA, everything but the Amazona has shipped so far!
I'm also super interested in the question of how much of each - primarily because it seemed so impossible to get certain items just an hour after launch versus the plethora of others we still see in stores and online now

What do people think?
1/20 or so moving castles?
1/300-500 calcifer shearling anything?
1/300-500 black Amazonas?
1/300-500 light blue Amazonas?
1/300-500 magical sky hammocks?
1/5 magical sky wallets or cardholders?
1/1000000000 candles?
(I obviously have no idea...)

You all
Scored beautiful pieces - unfortunately I was not getting one of the puzzle bags :sad: seems they have been highly coveted like all the other pieces

Fortunately some puzzles popped up at eBay Europe and I will bite in the sour apple and pay premium for the bag I want ….hahaha…..
There are some puzzles still in stock on the Loewe website! I think they’re being better about online stock after last years fiasco

A milllllllllion small orange puzzles …

Actually it could be that they do get a lot of foot traffic, people who only see the collection when it’s in stores, and who don’t know there are online items.

Or maybe most people are more comfortable with black or brown rather than bright orange. Plus they did a whole orange collection not that long ago that I was lusting after. I would have been so disappointed if I’d got that orange puzzle then a few months later there was the same thing with a Calcifer!

Which character are you most like? This little game/quiz was adorable

Awwweeeee

yeah I agree - I saw someone who was 6' carry it around and thought, that looks about right

Do you mean the T tote with birdman Howl and Sophie? Have seen it in person but didn’t pull the trigger because it’s quite a large bag and with the extensive marquetry and embroidering the entire bag feels quite rigid. Wasn’t sure if I would be able to use it enough to justify the purchase so didn’t pull the trigger.
Yes the T tote. Ah, it's a very stiff bag? Yes the marquetry is so beautiful. I'm also unsure if I will be able to use it.

Okay, another question raised above by that tote bag - how are people taking care of their bags? Do you all use leather conditioner? Or water proof them? Should we do that even with bags with the little crystals?

I bring in my bags to our SA for conditioning every once in a while. I’ve been using my new-to-me monochrome orange small puzzle on this trip though, and the level of color transfer onto the orange glazing of the bag is triggering me immensely, sadly. I’ve not experienced this with my previous bags from Loewe, but then again have never had to deal with such a bright coloured glazing before. I am thinking the orange puzzles in the HMC collection may suffer similarly but I don’t like to overly baby my bags too…

I have that Carbon Pro spray. So far used it only on my fabric anagram tote and it still got some colour transfer on the back, but I was expecting that as it’s half cream. Wondering if it would be a good idea for the orange puzzle but I don’t want it to be a barrier to the leather conditioner.

General bag care:
I don't put any third party product on any of my bags. A lot of waterproof sprays are silicone based and it is very difficult to remove after it permeates the leather, which makes servicing harder. Most stores won't touch your bag if you use a product on it already.

I avoid using brightly dyed bags in the rain, but sometimes it is unavoidable. In that case, I just wipe the bag dry as soon as possible, stuff the bag with acid free tissue paper and leave to dry naturally. For example, my susu bag (blue) was caught in the rain and I used this method and it still looks like new. My totoro puzzle bag (yellow) I neglected to stuff it and one corner has crumpled a bit. After taking pictures of it this week, I restuffed it and I hope the shape comes back.

For storage, again stuff with keep the shape, keep in dust bag and store away from direct sunlight.

For servicing bring back to the store to have their artisans touch up worn corners and such. For brands that don't provide that service, I only trust Leather Spa in NYC. Hope this helps! IMG_1479 Medium.jpeg

Is your orange puzzle that got color-transferred onto also satin calfskin? After reading your post, I'm nervous about this issue now. I was planning to style my orange puzzle with dark neutrals and blacks, but now I'm hesitant to :/
