Has anyone received their orders from the kickstarter campaign yet? I just received my navy doctors bag it is beautiful! I will post pics.

Yes I received my cognac doctor's bag a few days ago - it is beautiful (and the leather smell is divine!), but it's very difficult to open. Hope it becomes easier to open and close with use :)

One of my colleagues has the navy doctor's bag and it opens just fine. I actually wanted to get one too but they're out of stock !! And it seems they will be back later in the fall.
Did you guys see the email about the preorders for their totes? I am dyeing to get one and a bit nervous about them selling out because it looks like the rest of the shop is out of stock! (Maybe they need some better inventory planning? :p)
Which colour do you guys think is the nicest? I'm split between the navy and green...

I googled Linjer Doctor's Bag review and this thread came up first. I wrote this review for another forum and am adding it here.

I want to start by saying that I really like this bag.
- It's super stylish and makes a subtle statement.
- I had no problem getting it open ... once I figured out how it worked. A YouTube video would have helped me with that part.
- I like that the interior is well structured, it makes it pretty easy to fish out whatever i'm looking for. My vintage Bally bag is not structured at all and it was a pain to find anything.
- I haven't noticed any color transfer and I wear a lot of light colors, including a light jacket.
- The inside pockets are the perfect sizes for phones, passports, small makeup items.
- The zipper on the inside pocket is of good quality.

Value:
This is the first time that I've spent this much on a new handbag - a baby step into fancy handbag buying. I got in when this bag was on IndieGoGo and I'm glad I did. For that price it was definitely worth it. At the current price I might consider saving up for something else instead.

How I've used and cared for it:
- The bag arrived in late March and I've used it pretty much every day since then. So, about 6 months.
- I have taken this bag to 9 countries on 11 different trips.
- I regularly rub the bag down with a cleaner and then a conditioner.

Wear and tear: (note, this is not criticism, just describing the situation)
- You'll see in the photos below that the bag is starting to settle a bit. It's sinking in the corners. I stopped using it for about a week this summer, stuffed it and let it sit. Don't think it did much.
- The clasp / hardware is showing a lot of wear. It started to scratch already on day one and continues to get more so.
- The leather is starting to lose a little color around the bottom corners. Conditioning isn't resolving the issue.
- The leather has very few significant marks. There's one small dent in the top left on the front side of the bag, some light scratching, but not much else. I think most of what you can see in one of the closeup shots of the clasp would go away if I had conditioned the bag before taking the photos.
- That said, the leather on the top ridge where the clasp sometimes lands is pretty dented.
- The lining is high quality. Some marks on it but it's holding up very nicely.
- The bottom looks surprisingly pristine.

Personal preferences I never knew I had:
- The bag is a bit bigger than I had expected. I'd love if this bag if it were smaller. I know I'm in the minority in this. That said, the current size has been great for city break style travels.
- The strap is WAY too long. On the shortest hole the leftover bit was always in the way. The little round bits that are supposed to keep the extra bit from flying around never stayed in place.
- My hair was constantly getting stuck in the metal bits on the strap and I started to fear the prong would ruin my nicer clothes. So I stopped using the strap all together.
- In the beginning I wished the handle was big enough to wear the bag on my elbow, but then I came up with a solution.
- Since I'm not using the strap I started tying my scarves onto the bag to make the perfect size 'strap' that can be worn on my shoulder or in my elbow. Pictured below.
- I can't have my phone in my bag and listen to my music with headphones at the same time. Well, I can, but I have to snake the headphones through the corner, which means I can't easily take my phone out to use it, then toss it back in again. Would be better if there was an outside pocket on the backside of the bag to accommodate this.

So, I hope potential buyers find that information useful. Happy to answer questions!

Thanks Shawnnanigins for sharing your detailed review. It has been very useful to read your thoughts. I like how you improvised and use a scarf to come up with a new handle that suits you. Very creative. =)

I bought a soft tote in Chestnut from Linjer recently. It's been about 2 weeks but have been happy with my purchase so far. It's easy to carry around. When I got the bag, I conditioned it with Collonil leather care (as recommended by Linjer) and started using it. So far, no scratch marks **fingers crossed**. But I think it could be because the soft tote comes in milled leather - it looks pebbled - so maybe the scratch marks don't show easily. I am not a leather expert, just sharing what I observed on my bag.

I have been eyeing the doctor bag in cognac or the crossbody purse in bordeaux. Was very happy when I saw your review here and in the other forum. Maybe because the doc bag and crossbody purse come in smooth leather so any scratch marks will show easily.

My concerns with getting the doc bag are :

- wondering if the cognac will get dirty/scratched more easily since it's a lighter shade
- my hair and clothes getting snagged on the metal bits
- the wear and tear on the front clasp (push button). I feel that it should be matte and not glossy coz the scratches show easily on glossy surface
- bag could be too heavy and whether it may look bulky on me
- price seem to be going up even though Linjer had said they wanted to make luxury bags affordable. (It can get quite expensive after I convert from USD to my home currency.)

I thought the crossbody purse is a nice size but the doc bag is calling to me because it's more unusual looking. That said, at the current retail price of USD429, not sure if it is worth paying so much for.

Would love to hear reviews of other forummers who got their doc bag or crossbody purse earlier this year. Are you still happy with the bags?

Thanks =)

Thanks for the detailed review on the doctor bag. Personally I think it looks too bulky to be practical for everyday, and a lot of reviews mentioned how hard it is to open. Do they actually sell on their online store - it seems like most of their sales are through crowdfunding! I'd rather pay the $$ for a Mansur Gavriel I think but do like their green leather which is a bit unusual..

Hey!
I'm new on this forum and this will be my first post. I'm planning to start a blog but I have to start forcing myself to write. I'm a retired ballet dancer and I learned to communicate with my body and not a pencil when I attended University lol

I bought a Doctors Bag from Linjer.co a few months bag, and I've had it long enough to form an opinion. I like to find these 'secret' companies that has a product only you own. You can't find this bag at Macy's, not this quality for the same price.

The bag came in a very luxurious box and a dust bag. It also had a very nice greeting from the company owners.

Here it is in full flesh. And I must say that my iPhone could not correctly pick up on the beautiful colors on this leather. It's absolutely stunning in person. From what I read on their website, Linjer are using premium leather, vegetable tanned. I'm not sure what that means.. but I can see the results!! This doesn't feel quite like the 'plastic leather' on my Louis Vuitton bag. (which I love btw)

The benefits of this bag is it's cavernous space. Because it's rectangle you'll see everything inside like a box. It's very easy to find thing in there since the whole bag opens like a wide mouth. It's almost like carrying a box, but it looks like a purse!

Another cool feature I really like is that you don't have to worry where you put down this bag. (which is an issue with many of my other bags) It has a solid bottom with small metal knots keeping it above the ground and protect the leather. That's just brilliant!

I always get compliments when wearing this around town. People are in no doubt that this is a premium bag. It really states that with it's sharp colors. I've referred many to Linjer, and it's nice to have something not everybody else has. I took some photos of me and my bag to give you an idea how it looks like. In case you wonder where the photos are taken, it's from the Bay Area San Francisco. It hardly rains here, so I never have to worry taking the bag outside.

Lovely pics and post, LifeinTheAir. Thanks for sharing. Love the look of the cognac doctor bag on you. Do you find the bag heavy and stiff to wear? Also, do you know if the iPad Pro 9.7" can fit nicely into the doctor bag?

And Hurley is adorable. Looks like he's hiding from the sun. Lol

Yes, the sun is too strong for the little pooch.

The leather on the bag is soft. I don't have an iPad, but from using eye measurements I think it would fit just nicely. It's over 10 inches wide.
