just wondering the side zippers does it expand the capacity or is it more for look

The zippers give a bit of expansion - there is a gusset behind them - but not much extra room. When I carry my LP Dylan Zip wallet, a large glasses case, my kindle, water bottle and phone - it's full, but not bursting at the seams.

It's more for looks. It doesn't really expand the capacity. However, the bag itself is pretty roomy, fits a lot more then you might expect. It's a great bag, I own it in scotch and I love it!

thanks for the reply!hi, i'm a newbie here in tpf but i've already been a lurker for sometime particularly here in the LP thread. this place has really LPenabled me and i don't think i'm getting other bags anytime soon. i used to go after structured bags until i got my hands on my first LP, a dylan large shoulder bag in brown, and i was surprised at how much i actually liked using it despite it not keeping it's form. it's just so comfortable to use and it actually just fits my casual lifestyle better. needless to say i've already had my second LP since, a dylan quilted chevron lady bag in mignight, and i THINK i'm on the hunt for my third one (dear me, bagaddiction knows no bounds).
and now to cut this already long post short, i'm really torn between the Mini Speedy and the Small Speedy, although i think i'm more leaning towards the latter (but i'm not giving up on Mini, it's still in my list
i'm still on the fence though because i haven't seen any modelling pics of this bag. i can't "visualize" how comfortably it'll sit on my shoulders or how it'll fit me. i'm kinda short at 5'1" so this is really bugging me. it really seemed like the just-the-right-size bag for me. i'm tempted to go after a DZT on ebay but practicality tells me i don't have a need for it since i'm not one to carry a lot of stuff.
i hope those who have the Small Speedy can share a modelling pic of it being carried over the shoulder...please? or can you share where the opening and bottom of the bag lands along your body?

Hi Manilla - I had truly coveted the mini speedy - not being aware of the existence of the small! While the small is a little bigger than the mini, I loved the fact that the mini has a cross body strap and the small does not - which I didn't really know when I ordered it from Bonanza. So, I actually had a strap made for my bag. Following is the link to the pics I took of my new strap. I'll try to take pics of the bag over my shoulder when I get a chance.

that strap really is a big plus on the mini for me too. i'm just more of a shoulder bag person that's why i'm preferring the small more. also there's no longer a black in mini in the lp website so that's another reason for me to go for the small one. for now. i'll be really looking forward to those pics
