Hi, I was in Tokyo last year and was able to purchase the Ginza limited edition. I was pretty surprised when the SA took it out. So the trick is to make an appointment online and on the notes, mention that you are looking for the Ginza edition. The SA kept it for me since she saw my note. She did say that it’s very rare to receive one in the store nowadays. Good luck!
 
Next time if you have opportunity visiting Tokyo again, you can call the boutique before your trip asking for Boutique Store Manager Chika. She is super nice and professional, transferring from VCA Paris to Ginza around 2 years ago. Supposedly she worked for Cartier before.

Before I visited Ginza last October called the store a couple months in advance, and was able to connect with her via phone and then email, and message app. I asked her to reserve one Ginza special edition pendant for me to pick up by letting her know the arrival date. During all the months communication, she was super helpful even offered information for the restaurant or tour if we needed. I had great time visiting the store and picked up the pendant, and browsed all other beautiful items. Of course she was hoping I would purchase the long Ginza special edition necklace with combination of magic pave diamond motif, Alhambra and Byzantine, which would be over CAD$76000. Hopefully it can be done next time.

I’m so obsessed with the star from 2008! Does anyone know— did they ever offer the star in any form again?? I don’t recall even seeing a star on the lucky alhambra pieces....
It happens I have one 😍. Maybe they ll do more again because they already did it for the lucky collection

I went today to my boutique to see the pieces my SA told me I was offered. It is a set of a LE 20 motif and a 5 motif you are supposed to buy together … I still think you could buy only one piece but didn’t want to ask as I thought that I wanted the whole set. The Store Manager told me that if I do not buy the set and still ask for the second piece later, it will be really difficult to find same color of stone clover.
I arrived and they seemed really waiting for me 😁. I was then assisted through the boutique and installed in the private Room. They closed all the doors (they don’t do it usually at least the only time I went to this salon …). Then my SA arrived with the pieces on a plateau and I could try the pieces on :graucho:. They told me they cannot show LE pieces outside in front of other people. And that if someone asked for an LE piece they are told to say « this piece isn’t produced anymore » :no: Any customer (and I think even VVIP) cannot buy two items if the « rare materials » in the same year. Rare materials are : turquoise, lapis, obsidian, pietersite, rock crystal. My SA told me for me ok because it will be soon 2025 😏

If you buy the pieces, you are supposed to deposit 30% of the value which was not possible for me by credit card (in 12hours I couldn’t pre charge my credit card 🤯) but still was ok as they know me for a long time.

Then we chatted and tried other pieces. At the end the Store Manager went to say hello (only second time that I see the SM in the boutique, but at events I see her every time of course). She told me that the set arrived yesterday in the boutique and they cannot put it on wait even for 24h because all the world boutique see that this piece is there and they have to get a deposit to say no to a transfer between boutiques 😱. The SM has to validate the client that an SA wants to offer a LE piece.

It was really a special experience and I am happy to share with you in case you are a bit nervous when you get the call. I felt really special today and I think in a manner the direction still uses it as a loyalty treat for their clients. Of course it is also very teasing but I felt that everybody was happy for me today at the boutique. It is a good way to bond with your SA. I hope that every body that looks for a LE gets one one day.

So happy for you! I did not recall that this was your number one wish list item, so that makes this rare offering even more special. What a lovely experience in adding this special set to your collection!

Thanks so much Nicole. I didn’t even dare put it on my wishlist true. They totally discouraged me and I really thought also reading this forum that it was clearly not at my reach … so I forgot this piece for 1.5 years after asking twice to my SA. I think you have to ask again when you have more purchases. This piece it was my SA that she thought I would be interested but I don’t think she remembers everyone’s wishlist … she just saw I bought 2 items in the same stone since August ☺️
