Now I'm tempted by the Amalia shoulder bag all over again

silverfern, I'm amazed you could fit the paperback in there! Thanks for the suggestion - I'll keep an eye on departementfeminin, and mytheresa too. How does the Amalia feel compared to the Happy?

rdglady - Can't wait to see your pics :smile1: Did you get the python too?

^^ I used to think the Amalia was too east/west for me but after having carried it a few times I really don't feel that way any more. I still probably prefer the shape and design of the Happy though. To me it has the perfect proportions for a small/med sized bag

bag-gage, my amelia is not python, but black leather. The leather is beautiful and soft. I have not filled it yet, but am glad it is bigger than I expected. For reference, I am 5 foot 4, and this bag is an ideal size for me.

all your lanvin bags look so lovely! but is the lambskin used by lanvin for the amalia difficult to care for? and if i get a lighter coloured amalia, can i use the applegarde or collonil waterstop spray to protect the leather from water & dirt?

silverfern and rdgldy: Fantastic modeling pictures you both posted! Makes me want to look into getting a Lanvin all over again......... And those python options are completely droolworthy!

trontroy: I had an Amalia briefly and it had the most gorgeous soft, squishy purple lambskin that was considered 'unfinished' leather. A recommendation I received before was to use LMB's Botanical Silk Miracle Shield for protection -- hopefully this will be of help to you in your research.

mochiblure I remember seeing pics of your gorgeous violet tote  You should definitely think delving into Lanvin again :graucho:

trontroy - I have the Amalia lambskin tote which is buttery soft and delicate feeling but I haven't babied it all and it is my weekend workhorse bag and so far so good, no problems at all, not even a fingernail mark or scuff. I haven't treated it but I have used LMB products before and found them to be very good. I have heard that Collonil Waterstop spray is also very good and is used by a lot of Mulberry lovers. HTH :smile1:
