Jimmy Choo Lets Talk about Jimmy Choo Shoes!

Many folks are against buying used shoes and I completely understand why but there are some benefits. People with normal feet tend to sell their shoes once they’ve stretched them out because they’ll walk out of them. So when I buy them second hand they’re essentially pre-broken in like these babies. I steam out the inside ($25 steam clean tool from Amazon) and clean them with leather cleaner but some cobblers will professionally clean them if you prefer a more thorough job.

When I buy luxury shoes brand new they require me to stretch them out a bit with socks before their maiden voyage. Alternatively you can have them stretched by a cobbler if you’re dead set on a particular style. I rarely have luck with JC sandals, I feel like my feet floweth over!

My first pair of Jimmy Choos are attached. I saw them on this actress and had to have them. It's been a few years now and I still really love them. They're probably my favorite pair of shoes I own. I had a sole protector put on when they were pretty new and just had to replace the heel tips for the first time. They've been comfortable though the heel tips couldn't withstand the amount of walking I do, since I've done relatively little walking in them, though the heels are very slim.

My second pair was patent nude Abel pumps. Their sizing isn't consistent. The pair of shoes I described above I got in a 38.5 (i'm normally an 8.5). I order a 38.5 in the Abel and returned them. Got a 39 instead, but still never found them very comfortable or flattering and recently decided to just sell them. So I'm back down to one, truly fabulous, pair of Jimmy Choos.

Hello everyone! Just curious - I had no idea that Jimmy Choos were considered “passé”... I own 3 pairs and I love them. They are very comfortable, stylish and well made, so not sure where would that perception come from? On another note, does anyone have any intel on where to find 100 Romy’s from Past seasons? I am dying for a pair in the ballet pink leather combo and can’t find them anywhere. Thank you!
