I bought these recently and then read this article about delicate soles: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/a...designer-shoes-look-old-tatty-day-s-wear.html

But since its the daily mail...eh any one else have this issue?

:rolleyes:I suspect the columnist either has little common sense, or already had a journalistic agenda before she purchased and wore the Choos.
I've not had any issue with the soles of any of mine, however I do put transparent anti slip pads on the new soles before I wear them for the first time, not to protect the soles but to stop me from slipping, as I broke my leg 2 years ago. I also consider where I will be wearing them in relation to what surfaces I'll be walking on, gravel, cobblestones and lawn are a no no for stiletto heels or light coloured suede or satin.
Also I go to a cobbler in Belfast who specialises in designer repairs (a 60 minute drive) to get my Choos reheeled. God only knows what shape they'd be in if I went to my local cobbler (who throws all shoes in a heap)

I did a laugh a bit when I read it but I figured I'd ask anyway just in case there was some truth in there. I was thinking maybe resole though just to make it easier to not slip.

Does anyone own any Romy 110 pumps? I just ordered them in the textured silver from Gilt because I got an amazing deal, but I am worried they are too high for me. The highest pair of JC's I currently own have an 85 mm heel. How easy and comfortable are the Romy 110's to walk in? These shoes were final sale, so really hoping I don't regret this purchase!

I tried them on once and they were extremely comfy.

I only have 4 pairs of jimmy choos, but have not used them much. I've used both the lucy flats in metallic denim, and the vita flat in pink only once each - and both times, i've had blisters on the back of my heels Which is a shame because I bought these flats so I can use them for errands and less formal events.

The abel 100mm in raspberry was my first ever designer shoe and my gateway shoe for many other luxury shoes (CL, Valentino). I find this one quite comfy for a high heel.

The magnes 100mm (strappy sandal), I haven't worn yet even if I've had it for 1 year now!

Next on my wishlist is the romy pump covered in glitters below
