I have the black nova and like it very much, the quality of the leather and workmanship is very good.

Whoah. I really like these. It's been a while since I've looked at L & V. Their style seems to have changed a bit.

I do not wear green (or coloured bags) but their liquefied petroleum is STUNNING.

I like that lizard embossed, but the "somewhat shiny" description scares me.

Does it scratch easily? How is it compared to Celine box bag?
It’s smooth leather so I have been moderately careful with it but not babying it. No scratches yet, fortunately. I don’t have a direct comparison with a Celine box bag, so I can’t speak to the difference in quality, but the strap and it’s attachment is different and the clasp as well. From photos it seems like the box bag is shinier though.

i bought their mini primo in liquefied petroleum and while it’s a very pretty dark green, I did expect more blue in that color. That said, I love dark greens so I kept it anyway

I am contemplating purchasing a Leo et Violette bag and can't decide between:

1. Nova or Grand Nova- has anyone been able to do or find a side-by-side comparison?

2. Camel smooth leather or camel lizard leather. I will likely use this bag frequently and am nervous about the smooth leather, but not sure how the lizard looks in person vs. on the website.

If anyone has any thoughts to share I'd love to hear them!

Can someone speak more to the leather quality vs polene? I'm thinking of the Dalia or the Nova in either their new black pebbled or black liege. I love how my Polene purse is very soft and the leather is flexible. It is also durable because of the pebble. The liege leather looks very soft almost like a lambskin in the photos. What is it like to the touch?

The leather is really nice for L&V bags. I have polene bags (un nano and un mini) which are of the grained and textured leather. I purchased L&V’s Dahlia and Nova bags, which aren’t completely smooth (not sure what the leather is) but they have a shiny-ish texture to them. I’d say the leather on my polene un mini is softer and nicer , but the L&V leather is nicer than Polene’s textured leather maybe.

I just received my first Leo et Violette bag- the Grand Nova in bleu denim. I have to say I’m very impressed with the quality and practicality of the bag. It’s very comfortable to wear crossbody and fits all my essentials. The back pocket is a definite plus as it fits my phone (iPhone 12 mini). I have a few Polène bags and while the styles and leathers are different I’d say the quality and craftsmanship are comparable for sure. Delivery to NYC was incredibly fast as well, I ordered on Saturday, it shipped Monday and was with me yesterday. It was nicely packaged in the dust bag and a paper shopping bag. I’m now eyeing a Dalia.
