Learning a new language?

i learned english in school. my tips: being on TPF as often as possible.

i also learned italian and lived in italy for half a year.

it's always the best advice to be in the specific country.

I'm Hungarian, but I'm fluent in German and English too. People say I don't have an accent in either :o

I've just taken up Arabic classes. Kind of easy so far.

I think it all depends of the person...some people are just "gifted".....they learn so quick....

I so agree with this! I think I'd say that I'm a sponge for languages. Even so, I had to do some studying to get all the vocabulary to stick.

As I went through the Arabic training, I could easily see many others who were struggling and therefore dropping out of the courses into other jobs, while Arabic just came as easy as breathing to others.

Just wait 'til you start playing with dialects.
