I can see that, I mean some people do really well in school (design or university), and some don't. I just think her line is more credible than other celebrity collaborations with brands. Her bag may look like other high-end designs but at least it's at a lower price-point for people who can't afford Chanel.
Also, LV has a clear plastic tote and so does Michael Kors...so are both designers "fake" just because their bags are similar? This is how the fashion industry works, there are always going to be similarities among products and brands.
