Hi all, I'm heading Vegas this Sunday. May I know if anyone been there lately that can share on the bags offered? I'm hoping to get a Kelly or Birkin along with some other small accessories like belts, bracelets and watch. Any nice and friendly SA I can look for? Should I ask for the bag upfront or get the accessories first and then ask for it?

Thank you!

Hi! I was just in Vegas this weekend with a friend. She went to the H store at the Wynn and this is that the SA told her :

She was looking for a Birkin/Kelly or Kelly P. He told her that he has plenty of stock but that he couldn't offer her anything at that time. He said she would have to make some other purchases first and establish a relationship with him before he could offer here what she was asking for. I was pretty shocked at how blatant he was about the whole thing. I don't remember his name so maybe try a female SA just to avoid the possibility of him helping you!

i got the same thing, but at the bellagio. i think if you buy those items first (especially a watch) and then ask, it would be your best bet. i would go to the 3 stores first without buying and try to find the one with the best selection (i find crystals is usually best, but unfriendly staff) and nicest staff.

See, I am a regular at Crystals, and have had nothing but pleasant experiences there! It's clearly a bit of a crapshoot (appropriate for Vegas!). I would say that you cannot expect to have a vault of Birkins and Kellys opened for you, as the demand there is as high as it is anywhere (lots of international tourism, plus locals). But certainly mention what you would love to find--One never knows with H.

You won't be able to get offered a B or K by buying those things alone. They want you to come back and will offer you in the second round if you spend enough in the first one. Even though it is a tourist stop, that doesn't mean that they don't value long term relationships unless you are willing to drop more than $10K and buy a piece of jewelry from them.

I find that it's standard practice in Vegas that you will have buy other things first (around 6k to 10k), depending on the SA. Some are nice, they don't restrict you on what you need to buy, some don't count leather goods (like belt, wallet, other bags). They particularly like customers to buy jewellery, eg watch or bracelet.

My suggestion is that be upfront and tell them what you are looking for, and what other items you are willing to purchase if a bag is offered. If it doesn't work, just try another store or another SA. My friend got her kelly 28 in black back in Feb at the Wynn store just by doing that.

A black kelly 28? So lucky!! In order to get that kelly 28 in black does she needs to purchase any other things?

Thank you for the heads up. Will take note of the male SA

Ah.... Alright. Shall go to all stores to check it out too. Thanks.

I was thinking of asking my hubby to ask instead. It's our 10th year anniversary so he said that if we are lucky to be offered, that will be my gift. :D

Congrats to your friend. May I know what else did your friend buy in order to get the Kelly?

@chkpfbeliever, I remember that you have purchased in vegas over a few years! Did you manage to get a B or a K over the past few years? Please do share!! :)

She bought a diamond watch ($18k) and she was offered two Kellys to choose from m, 25 and 28, both sellier.

Can I ask a naughty question? I'm not saying I would do this but...

Say I walked in a bought a diamond watch (one I didn't really want) and also bought one of the two kellys that were offered. Then later after I returned home, I returned the watch to another boutique for store credit which I could use up slowly with other purchases I did really want. Would this be feasible? For the record though, I wouldn't do this because I don't really want $18K in store credit but I could see someone else doing it?

MYH - it may work but it is risky and a crapshoot (no pun intended). You risk having your return rejected for a myriad of reasons or no reason at all. The store can see your shopping history and will know you purchased a watch which opened the door to you getting a coveted bag. Don't shoot me for saying this but it smacks of desperation. Just my own opinion.

And you will be pretty much blacklisted internally, they will not sell you any more Birkin or Kelly or other covert pieces in future.

Thanks for the feedback. Trust me, I would never attempt this. I'm just one of those people that likes to think about loopholes but would never use them. Having a huge amount of money in credit would make me sick to my stomach. And I would not like to be blacklisted! I love H too much. Thank goodness I have all the H bags I want right now. :smile1:

I think most people would feel the same as you, 18K in store credit is nothing to laugh at. If someone can afford to have a store credit in that amount, that person probably doesn't need to ever return an item to purchase a B/K
