I have the large Lanvin happy bag with snake skin print, it is gorgeous and very roomy! I haven't had it for all that long yet so I don't know about the overall durability but all I can tell you is that I love it so far so I say go for it! Also, it is not that heavy even with chains on. It's truly a lovely bag :)

My birthday was on Thanksgiving, and so Black Friday was a really good time to select my birthday present, LOL! DH wanted to buy me a bag for b-day but seems like I either have very expensive taste and the bags on my wish list are all sooooo $$$, and those that are more of a reasonable price (relatively speaking) just don't really do anything to me. That is, until I found this beauty on Saks Off 5th! And it just happened that I 1) was looking for a crossbody bag that can fit all my essentials BUT not too small yet would look good on my 5'1" frame, 2) I LOVE exotic leather, snakeskin is one of my favorite, 3) we had a Saks gift card we have wanted to use it for months, and 4) blue/green tone is one of my favorite colors and would work so well with my winter wardrobe.

So, here's my new baby, just arrived yesterday! Lanvin Happy Poppy crossbody bag in blue/green snakeskin!! I love everything about it - size, weight, the leather, the hardware. This is my first Lanvin bag and I gotta say Lanvin bags are a bit underrated IMO. I am impressed by the hardware (which, IMO, are of better quality than some Chanel I have seen recently). Best part is, the bag was retailed for $2490, with the double discounts and the gift card, DH only needs to pay less than $800 out of pocket! Happy wife, happy husband, happy family! :laugh:

Ahhh, it's gorgeous!! I too love snakeskin and green, you're lucky I didn't see that first ;) And congrats on a fantastic deal - that's always a great feeling, and you can buy a RTW plane ticket with the money you saved <3

LOL, yes!! In fact, I am buying plane tickets for our belated honeymoon to Europe right now!!

OMG that sounds wonderful! I've only spent a week or so in either of those cities but I LOVED it. Make sure to go off the beaten track a little because the most interesting culture definitely isn't on the central shopping streets (Oxford Circus is a zoo) or at the monuments and palaces... though they are obviously gorgeous sites for photographs, including with your new birthday handbag. ;) You're going to love it!

That is such a gorgeous bag and perfect for your Europe trip too! I totally agree with you: Lanvin bags are so underrated because everyone is about Chanel. My first bag and love is my Lanvin For Me bag (I got it in an end of season sale) and I love, love, love the iconic turnlock clasp (my fav kind of closure) and the leathers, zipper/hardware and functionality are all divine. So happy for you!:woohoo:

Yes I'm so in love with it!! And Lanvin has some very nice items go on sale too!! I used to love love and love Chanel, but nowadays their prices are too crazy and quality is going downhill, it's all the hype and too overrated! Not to mention everyone has one...
