So...who want to make a wager that this bag will end up on ebay or some auction site in the near future? I'm sure there will be lots of people who will want it (not for the bag) but for the fact that she personalized it.

Who knows, maybe Lady Gaga will give the proceeds to charity.

It's only 'shocking' to the .0000000002 percent of the populus who KNOW what that bag is. That, and the rest, who only find out what it costs when "The Sun" plays it up by saying it costs a few thousand more or less than it truly does. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets auctioned, but I think she truly did it because A) She's cool. B) She knew that that bag means more to the Japanese media than any other country's media, thus it's extra cool for Little Monsters there to see that.

Japanese writing is cool looking, at least she didn't scrawl it in english. She probably just felt like it. :supacool:

I personally think it's genius, and I hate her for making me LOVE her sooooooo much.

Let's face it. . .if Madonna did that in the 80s we would have all laughed and probably started writing on our bags. . .

She gives plenty of money to charity, feeds her fans when they wait outside, gives a hell of a performance (saw her in December) and is very intelligent (straight A student all through Catholic high school and was accepted into Tish). . .it's her money that she works hard for so scribble away babyyyyyyyyy!!!!

I did . . . let me just say I wasn't a fan before I went to the concert . . . I sat through the whole performance WITH MY MOUTH OPEN!! It was the best show I have ever seen. . . I couldn't score 4 tickets for Aug. in San Jose without mortgaging my home so just my two kids are going. . . I'm so jealous!!!!!!!! She was just so fascinating to me after that that I started reading everything I could about her. . .

she's supposed to be so shocking and edgy and not like any other. a question then. why buying Birkin at all? buy some edgy, cosmic-looking futuristic bag that noone else owns and be different, prove your point. i just don't get it. but it's her business, after all...
