Ladies...Any RUDE/CATTY/SNIDE/NASTY Remarks about your Birkins or ANY Hermès Purchase

So awhile back I posted about a social friend who is out of work and I was afraid of her comments when she saw my Birkin. All though it's pre loved from a reliable reseller I still paid more than I ever have for a bag(I generally buy LV, Chanel) so she asked me what kind of bag it was and I think she recognized it from TV and said "Girl I want that bag that's nice" I said thank you and she said so be honest how much do those run and I told her original value and she said whoa lol. But I then explained how great of a deal I got and I downplayed the value saying it was older and very pre loved so she said ah ok and then she got really quite and I proceeded to order my Starbucks. She had a migraine so I chalked her quietness to her headache. But later we laughed and I explained to her I sold a good portion of my LV collection to finance my Birkin and she seemed genuinely happy for me and said "I wanna be like you when I grow up"

What a nice story and am so glad she has proven to be a good friend after all. I'm sure it must have such a relief. I would have worried about the same things.
I have made it a strict rule only to discuss the cost of my Bs and Ks with my BFF and DDs. Not anyone else and this is a rule that I follow. I was brought up never to discuss money and I know times have changed but not regarding the subject of H for me.

Such a sweet story! I would've been sensitive about bringing a Birkin around her too. Goes to show that true friends do not let handbags come between them!
My B was couriered to sis-in-law's place as it came from her local store though I made the order 1 year earlier. When she handed it to me, she gave me a 10 minute 'lecture' about how expensive it is, how impractical the B is to open & close (you know by now that she does not own any B. Otherwise she would know that it is carried open) & that one can easily get a similar bag for Eur500!! All the while I thought, ' Shut up, woman, I paid for it with my money, not your brother's!'
That's annoying! Does she usually give other people a hard time about things they buy?
I don't know. Maybe it was a case of sis-in-law envy, who knows..Certainly the most catty remark from anyone on my B & unfortunately it comes from her..
I was recently flying from Dubai to Geneve, and literally EVERY woman in the 1 class had a Birkin! . I was the only person with a little shy Kelly, lol. So a lady with a crocodile diamond Birkin gave a compliment to my Kelly saying it was cute.
And everyone had LV luggage. That was very surreal, lol.

Emirates 1 class has separate cabins for every passenger so I didn't really see anyone after I got to my cabin. But it was weird getting to the plane for sure!
EVERYONE with a Birkin and an LV luggage. I was dying to take a picture of that, it looked so unreal! Lol.
