Wow, what a great haul!!

I got an email from my NM SA about the new Sleep Mask. What did you like about it? I'm wondering if it may be a bit too heavy for my combo skin, though I need the hydration with winter coming up.

THanks! xxx
And I have like the oiliest skin ever, but this stuff is not thick or heavy at all. My skin just soaks it up. Truly one of the greatest beauty products I've ever bought (and I've tried a lot....lol)

Ive been using La Prairie for a few months now. I used to have oily/combo skin with few pimples all the time. I not only changed my diet to more water and raw greens but changed skincare lines from Chanel, to SKII, CDP, and now I use La prairie EXCLUSIVELY.

Yes it is an arm and a leg for products but your skin is something that is so important to give the best treatment...not makeup ;) hehe

Few of my FAV products you MUST try are:
- marine biology line night and day cream
- the 3 min peel, I use twice a month
- the night cellular power charge (amazing)
- skin caviar luxe eye cream
- white caviar illuminating cream/serum.

Paired with healthy eating/drinking water, my skin has change dramatically. Brighter, plump, youthful, and pore size much much smaller. Skincare is so tricky so you have to find what works best for you my dear. trail and error!

Good Luck :)

Looks like you have a good regime there!
And I agree about the diet too, can't just rely on these products if we don't take care of ourselves.

i had my first LA PRAIRIE treatment a few weeks ago - i absolutely loved it!
i changed from CLINIQUE to LA PRAIRIE after the treatment - the WHITE CAVIAR ILLUMINATING CREAM does miracles to my skin.

My skin is super sensitive to certain products, but I'm almost out of my Dermalogica lotions so I would like to try something new. Is this product line good for sensitive skin that's neither dry or oily, pretty normal and balanced?

That Paula Begoun, "Paula's Choice", astounds me. She's SO freaking rude, and there are women that literally walk around malls with her book and a checklist and a shopping bag full of products that are either secretly toted by her (because she gets sponsorship deals) or through her hatred of anything over $20 dollars.

Just look at most of her reviews online. Some of those companies have TONS of products, but she unfairly prejudices people's opinions of the line by reviewing products that are either DISCONTINUED (as so in the case of YSL) or for a very specific, targeted range. And most of the products she poo-poos? Or doesn't even review, such as YSL's Touch Eclat or Mascara (two of the best selling cosmetic products in the world!! - YSL Faux Cils Mascara currently amounts to approx 33% of all Mascara sales in the world, followed by Lancome's Defincils, and Maybelline's Great Lash) products that truly make a line.

And she's narrow minded. In the cosmetic industry, opinions like her are a dime a dozen, who died and made her the beauty god - anyone seen her skin lately? It's dry and in desperate need of exfoliation.

That being said, having personal experience selling and working with the La Prarie Line, it seems best suited to skin that isn't either sensitive at all, like oilier skins TEND to be, or hypersensitive - they have wonderful serums. Or mature skin, the Skin Caviar is BEAUTIFUL. The Cellular Radiance Foundations and Skin Caviar Foundations have some of the best colours out there, but the concealers are a little... err.. too matching (should have the concealer a few shades lighter then the foundation, or you'll look like a canvas... ). The Smart Cream is a great way to get into the line.

And now that everyone knows I'm a cosmetic junkie, continue on!!

I know this is super old, but AMEN. I can't stand her. I always laugh when people call her an "expert"... of what? Being able to read an ingredients list? Paula makes money off of making people believe skincare and cosmetics are way simpler than they actually are.

I went for a skin consultation with La Prairie yesterday and I can't say enough good about them! The lady gave me a full routine of samples to try out, suited to my skin (the advanced marine biology range) and is going to ring me up in a few days to see how I'm going. She even recommended I lay off night time moisturising for a bit and really reduced the amount of products I'm using on my skin as that could be causing my breakouts and rashes! I so hope this range works :)

Oh my god, this is so true. I laugh at Paula's reviews. She is not objective and has an ulterior motive.

I started using La Prairie because of an eye cream. Since I moved to Suisse I have always gotten samples etc. I have incredibly sensitive eye area and have tried super natural and organic products, all kinds of special products (from Israel) and still my eye area would go in tears and then just become incredibly red for days. Given that, I can only tolerate the Cellular radiance eye cream (using this one for 2 years now) For my face I combine different products from various brands but like the LP exfoliator and use it for my neck area. Since one year for my daily routine I am very happy with the Cellular radiance emulsion 30 spf and for night events I am using the foundation with concealer. I don't like the concealer and not sure about the foundation. I may go back to my Creme de la mer or continue with my daily RMS one. For nights when my skin really needs it, I use the Skin caviar luxe cream and before that the Cellular swiss ice crystal dry oil that just came out (i have tested using coconut organic oil but it made no difference to my face - great for lips and body). I also store the creams I use less regularly in the fridge. I have noticed my eye cream doesn't last more than 9 months.

My facials are La Prairie and keep my problematic skin in control.

I also love the 3 min peel. Works wonders. As for their masks, I think I prefer my natural products because LP does use some harsh chemicals.

I did not want to include my age but I know someone will ask. I am soon to be 27 and have suffered from problematic skin since a young teen. What I use so far has made a huge difference on my skin and I have seem first-hand how young my mom looks. .

Hi there! Does anyone have a La Prairie SA at Nordstrom whom you can recommend? I have a Nordstrom note to use and I want to deal with someone rather than just buying online.

Thanks!!

I know the products pretty well if you have some questions. My mom has also been using them for a long time now. If you have non-textbook skin sometimes the SA's are not very helpful. Testers are best and getting a facial with La Prairie products also helps to understand what works for you. 🌺🌺🌺

Thanks Sarah_sarah! I've had good results with the anti aging day and night creams but after reading here that people like the marine biology line, I was just wondering if I should give that a try instead. Was hoping I could order thru a SA so he/she can make suggestions and perhaps offer a few samples to try. Maybe I'll just call up a random store and try my luck! (I usually buy thru my Saks SA but I need to use my gift card).
