Two of my friends use it and I could see a very big difference on their faces and eyes. Now am considering buying it too. Although it is pricy but I would say it is worth to pay.

Never tried it but have heard many great things about it. I think if it worked for you, you should definitely give it a shot. You say you've already seen improvements on your skin, so why not?

yes.... i'm another one that addicted to their product. i have to say i have seen a difference with using their product line.

maybe try what i did... to curb the expenses of the line... i slowly introduce each product (ex i bought the la prairie moisturizer and continued with my normal toner and waited until i ran out to buy the la prairie toner, etc etc etc)... it was still expensive but atleast it hurt a lot less than buying everything at once.

i have a couple of the eye creams and i think they're worth the $$ too. you can't skimp when it comes to skincare...

^it´s just that I read the threads about how some expensive products didn´t worth the money, and a cheaper product was just as effective.
So I thought better ask for La Prairie as well you never know !

Thank you all for the answers ! and yes I would buy it 1 product at the time....but that still means I need the entire line ?

I use LaPrairie and love it. Def use it if you can already see a difference. Sometimes it's more cost effective to buy an expensive product you KNOW works vs. wasting $ on buying several several products that do not work.

Help.

I normally have decent combination skin with an occasional hormonal pimple and that's it. I was pregnant last year and my skin was perfect the entire time. Then about 4 months ago, when my baby hit 6 months, I started breaking out in certain places and also developing some hyperpigmentation. The skincare products I used to use no longer work (Chantecaille, Paul & Joe, Awake, Shisheido). I am also a big skincare/cosmetics junkie and have tried almost everything (Sisley, La Mer, Clarins, Estee Lauder, SKII etc etc). I find many over-drying/to harsh. The others make me break out terribly after a week or so. SKII and La Mer broke me out the worst.

Well I decided to give some La Prairie products a try (Skin Cellular White line) and I actually love love love how they feel and look but have only been using them for a couple of days. I bought the nighttime moisturizer (Intensive Repairing Emulsion) and have samples of the rest of the line. I am tempted to get everything else as well, but don't want to spend big $$ only to find out later that it doesn't work for me either.

My question is, did you La Prairie devotees experience any intial breakouts etc when you first tried the products? Or were they great from the very start? How long do you think I should try out the samples before I purchase the actual products? In the past I have reacted within a week but sometimes 2. I don't think my samples will last that long and the store doesn't stock that much product - I don't want it to run out (and they will, there is only 1 store in the entire Philippines that carries the brand).

I feel that my skin has calmed down greatly in just 2 days and already looks much better, but I don't know if this effect is temporary. Any advise would be highly appreciated! Thanks!

By the way, I am Asian, in my mid 30s (I look younger than my age), have combination skin and am starting to have some fine lines under my eyes. I am also still breastfeeding (I'm guessing this has something to do with all the hormonal weirdness going on)

My friend recommended the La Prairie line coz she swore it totally made her skin looked flawless, so I tried their eye cream- duh, I got millias instead:sad:

You see I have combination skin so La Mer, La Prairie will just give me more clogged pores. I think the best and most effective cream is the simplest of all "Retin A". Try to go for glycolic or other facial peels once a month to keep pores unclogged.

I can't tell you much about the cellular white line because La Prairie is not allowed to sell it in the U.S. I asked my La Prairie SA and she said that there is something in it that the FDA won't approve. That is why you see many whitening lines in Asia vs. the U.S. I was able to try some of it when I visited Asia over the summer and I think its great. I did not buy it though because I knew I won't be able to purchase it here.

For me, La Prairie was great from the start. I have combination skin and I have not had any breakouts from their products. But I did try their stuff for about 2 weeks before I made any purchases, but I also knew if I suddenly broke out by the 3rd week I had the option to return the items to the department store I purchased the products from.

Thanks, knn and laria. The SA mentioned I would peel a bit the first week and I am starting to see a very tiny bit (not yet noticeable). I'm on my 4th day and so far it is working wonderfully - am not greasy or tight or itchy and my skin looks noticeably brighter. I'm not a fan of products that whiten the entire face - I would just like something that will even out my spots and am hoping this will do the trick.

I did try the illuminating wand (sorry can't quite remember the full/proper name) for under the eyes and it works like a charm!

Instead of the Cellular whitening line, have you tried the Advanced Marine Biology cream? If you want to get away from the whitening stuff, its really good and is very light which is why I like it. Last I checked, La Prairie only released the cream over in Asia. Here we have the cream, a tonic (serum) and a night cream.

^^ I actually find the cellular whitening more lightening than whitening, but thanks for the suggestion. I will see if the advanced marine biology cream is available here and will try to get a sample. They dont carry all te products (though they do offer the $1000 face cream LOL)
