Thank you all kindly for the info! It will be a fun shopping excursion and hopefully when we go they will have lots of scarves and other things to look at. And it can’t hurt to ask for a bag while we’re there :).

Does anyone have an SA at the King of Prussia boutique that they would be willing to share contact information for? I have worked with Dawn in the past at that store, but I do not have her mobile number (and now with all of the boutiques being closed, I think that would be the only way to get in touch). I do not have much of a purchase history and am only looking for a very small item. Thanks!

Thank you! That would be much appreciated!
Hi Jewelry. I texted her and this was the response:
"For the first time they have allowed us to have our work phones with us at home so I can be in touch with clients. I don't have access to product info except for what might be coming in when we open back up."
She has been there for a long time, so I would expect this is the case for all SAs at KOP. Maybe there is another, larger US boutique where they are able to do more, like search inventory, but at this point it seems like that would be unusual. Maybe someone else can weigh in.

Ok thanks for reaching out and asking!

Had a not great experience at the KOP Hermes this weekend. I made an appointment a week in advance, but I think the SA who took my appointment double or even triple-booked herself, and then her appointments went over so that when I went to my appointment there was another client there with the same time slot. We both waited an extra 15 minutes while our SA was with another client, and when she finally came to get us, she basically signaled to us that we should decide amongst ourselves who should go first. Since the other client was an older client and I was new, she definitely just said, "Hi X, I'll go first if that's okay," and the SA responded with "Sure X, come on in" and then just looked at me with this sort of apologetic look on her face. What was I supposed to do? She never offered an explanation, and didn't offer to reschedule with me. She just looked at me like the ball was in my court. What ball? what court? I told her I was no longer interested and walked away.

No hate towards the other client or to the SA personally, but I was really turned off by this. I am curious about Hermes and am willing to part with my hard-earned money at that store. But I would at least like to be stripped of my earnings in a halfway decent manner, and not made to feel like I need to grovel to be robbed (exaggerating here but you know). I don't know if I'm going to try Hermes again; it was kind of humiliating and awkward, and I am really turned off. Any advice on how to try again once I've recovered my dignity?

Sorry this happened to you! This is my local store and I find the staff to be very nice. Not trying to make excuses, but I know ever since they re-opened in June after a 3 month shut down, things have been insane for them. I don't think they have a huge staff so they are constantly booked. They also had to shut down again right before Christmas for 14 days due to Covid exposure. I think they are just so slammed and behind. I would definitely reach out again and try another appointment. I know the few times I've shopped during Covid I let them know what I was looking for so the item was ready. Not saying you can't go just to browse the store, it just seems things are still hectic. KOP really is a great store, so think about trying again :)

Thanks for the support! If I call again, would it be rude of me to request not the same SA that overbooked last time? Or is that too much of an escalation on my end?

I don't think it's rude at all to ask for someone different from your last experience. You can also politely explain the overbooking you experienced and let them know you'd like someone who can give you the full hour appointment slot.

Hello my Pennsylvanian Fam! Has anyone been successfully offered a B or K at the KOP store? I've only visited a few times and know its a beautiful one. Just curious before I make an effort to pursue one from this store. TiA!! ❤

My friend has 2 birkin purchases from KOP in the past few years. I don't know her whole journey but she's a long time customer who spends A LOT including a $40K full pave Kelly bracelet.

KOP has been my home store for many years, with the exception of five years when I lived/worked in NYC, when I shopped at WS. I have gotten Bs and Ks and other bags at both. Most recently, I've been to KOP with appointments, which were not hard to get (within the week). I didn't stay long during each appointment, having gone for a particular item and gave my SA the heads up as to what I wanted. I will say that the SAs did seem stressed. It was not your usual casual wander through the store experience. It may have been due to my discomfort with being at the mall in general. There are lovely SAs at KOP. Perhaps you should talk to the SD and ask for a different SA.
