Yes, speedlimits are high :smile1:

Autobahns generally do not have speed limits unless there is a construction site or there are dangerous curves. Often speed limits in "dangerous" areas is around 120 kmh / 75 mph. Speed limits in construction areas are often 80kmh / 50 mph.

When I drive to work in the morning I am usually going around 150-160 kmh / 90-100 mph and I am certainly not the fastest person on the road. I'm just doing my best to keep up with everyone else ;)

Wow you're fast!! 120-130 kmh is enough for me... But then again, I drive older cars. And we do have speed limits here...

:graucho: I don't call my car "der rote Blitz" (red lightening) for nothing :p

haha, but seriously - the people in my area just seem to FLY down the Autobahn, it's scary sometimes. Just last week I was driving to work and I saw these flashing lights behind me. I got in the right lane fast and the car drove by so fast that I could feel the wind move my car. I was already going 160kmh, so I don#t even want to know what he was going!

When the roads are quieter I also like to go around 130 just to save gas. I'm not in a rush to get anywhere, but in the mornings I just feel like I'm going to get run off the road if I don't keep up, lol

Oh I'm quite familiar with the Autobahn... It really is scary sometimes to drive in the left lane, especially in a 1985 car with 4 gears

Its funny people note the cost of their jewelry, cars, bags etc while many people on TPF own the same items. Go to jewelry forum and some people display $ 100,000 worth of jewelry like it is no big deal. I personally don't like the look of 5 love bracelets together or see the need for so many, but if people could afford them :shrugs:

 I mean aren't we apart of a forum where "shallow obsessing is strongly encouraged"?

I personally am not bothered, Kylie and Kendall aren't the first or the last 'spoiled, 'shallow' kids. Go look at Rich Kids of Instagram. Kylie and Kendall would look modest next to some of those kids.

Yes but I don't think the ladies on TPF displaying that type of jewelry are 16 year olds. Just because you can afford it at that age doesn't mean you need to be excessive about it or flaunt it on your Instagram feed. And taking a pic of just your arms and your Mercedes Benz steering wheel is most definitely flaunting it..

In all seriousness, I probably would IG that too if I were 16 and had access too all that.
But still it bothers me. Just because other "RKOI" are doing it, doesn't make it okay to me. It's not the cost of the things, but more like... it kind of shows how disconnected they are. Kylie probably thinks $50.000 is just some golden bracelets, while other people could use that amount of money to feed their kids for years.

I agree with those saying that wearing so many cartier bracelets and expensive jewelry and driving a Mercedes is, at the very least, unusual for a teenager. But IG is full of people (even less wealthy than the Kardashians/Jenners) who flaunt their material posessions (bags, watches, cars, shoes; you name it, people post it). That's why I'm not a fan of social media. TPF is somehow different though because its members are people who share a common "interest" in bags and shoes. It's not a place your average 16 year old would visit while Kylie's IG profile probably is.

It doesn't even phase me because tons of kids (adults too) I know who aren't even anywhere close to as wealthy as the Jenners post a bizillion pictures of their expensive stuff on Instagram, so obviously Kendall and Kylie and their friends are going to. And I kind of like seeing what people are buying/wearing/what's new. That being said, what the hell are they wearing? They're looking a hot mess IMO.

Not all social media are like IG... IG is hilarious though.

whoa that is fast!!!

Seriously! Part of me feels bad for them. Their self worth is tied to how many likes they get on IG and how many times they get papped in a day. It's totally empty. I can't imagine their soul sucking mother ever telling them that their brains or creativity could be worth something too. They are shells of people.

I feel bad for them too. They've been shown terrible examples and probably get very little fulfillment from all this "stuff." They probably get less excitement from the $40k in jewelry than the average person on here gets from a $1k bag. In their case they've been surrounded by designer items their entire lives--they just don't know any different and I doubt they value these items the way most of us would.

Yikes--looks like I have a few other forums to scout out :graucho:

I just joined and need to find all of these. Everyone says IG is hilarious but I've yet to find anything exciting beyond my friends or cat pics :p

I just joined yesterday! What I find hilarious are the selfies some of my friends post, that have hash tags like #selfie, #(something)swag, #stayfit, #Like4like... Haha. And of course some celebrities are doing the same. I also find the whole "Rich Kids Of Instagram" phenomenon hilarious in a way.

you think that's bad? I know girls who post selfies and use hash tags like #beauty #prettygirl #beautifulgirl and so on. I'm like :amazed:
Instagram narcissism is the worst. I don't mind a little showing off (I'm on here after all), but please #stayhumble.
