nope. very rural states might have higher speed limits. but generally like 60-70 on the highways....small roads 30ish...neighborhoods 20..moderately busy roads 40..on the east coast at least

oh i was thinking of Germany...my dh goes there for work and told me the speed limits are high

Highways in the Netherlands are around 74-80 mph, rural roads usually 50-55, roads in the city about 30 mph and in neighbourhoods it is generally 18 mph. I know that in many surrounding countries it is similar.

I have heard that in Scandinavia even highways are about 55!

eh--i still think 16 is far. and yes the US is much larger than most countries in europe. and isn't the speed limit generally much higher in europe? speed limits in the US are much lower i think.

Yep, my boyfriend hates the speed limits here (He's German, and the Autobahn there has no limits.)

I was raised in a very rural area and what you said is true.

just saw the city you are from, below the avatar..... I am in Dallas (TX), the suburbs, and went to school with lots of children of farmers/ranchers (Lubbock, TX). Good people all around.

I completely agree pregnancy is not always safe and I could have died anyway
Yes a driver matures .... But in the meantime others lives are at risk
Pregnancy only puts yourself and baby at risk
If anything goes wrong it's natural
Driving can get innocent people killed - lack of attention, lack of knowledge , lack of experience... 13 and 16 are just too young IMO
But that strongly depends on the person driving
I think they should pass you if your a good and safe and mature driver
Some 16 year olds are more mature than 30 plus year olds
I guess it all depends and age really proves nothing

You could have died anyways. Pregnancy is not always "safe". A driver matures, too.



That's what I thought you meant when I read that earlier. With that being said, 16 is mature enough.
