It's been years since a posted anything on tPF and I was so happy to see that my story inspired you.
I still have my beloved vintage croc Kelly and I am still waiting for the "black canvas strap with croc endings/fittings" that I have on order at Hermès since years back. The strap will make it a little bit more causal and easier to use, I think. It will probably take a few more years to get it done according to the SA I spoke to in Paris this August.
That's ok, that's Hermès! It's harder to get a strap made for you than a bag :-)
