So happy to stumble upon this thread!

Love my K28, it's my everyday bag and even goes with me in the rain.

Currently travelling in Lisbon and some pics of my outfits in the elevator. Thank you for letting me share :flowers:

I love Kelly 28. The only thing I would add to this perfection is a pocket in the bag for phone of a credit card not to have to open Kelly when going to stores
Not a "classic Kelly" but the Kelly Lakis has a zipper pocket in the back and 2 in the front- in theory, you never need open the actual bag if you don't want to ( travel, etc.)
Comes in 28 below in noir ( so OT) and larger
Here you go for a Lakis thread

The Kelly Berline also has a slip pocket in the back- no zipper, and this ( as far as I know) has only been made in a 32.
Here you go for Berline
this thread has both front and back photos- and again the coated canvas and back slip pocket make it a perfect travel bag- BUT its a 32.

Here’s mine in etain togo! For those of you with retourne, do you find that inserts are necessary in order to help the bag keep its shape?
My oldest K28 retourne is at least 5 years old and I don't use anything to keep its shape. I store it standing in a closet and shape has not changed since I bought it.

Hi all,
I’ve been offered a K28 in Epsom leather. Note: Not sure if it’s in sellier or retourne.
This will be my first QB ever.

Are there any pros/cons of a K28 in epsom leather?
If it’s Epsom, I’m 99% sure it’s going to be sellier. Some of the pros of Epsom are that it’s durable, scratch-resistant, and (I believe) water-resistant (not saying you should dunk it in water, but some raindrops shouldn’t hurt it). Potential cons (depending on your preferences) are that it is stiffer and so it can be harder to get in and out of the bag (but it also will keep its shape very well). Additionally, it’s a heat stamped leather, which means that you lose the natural grain of the leather. For example, Togo isn’t heat stamped, so you see the natural pebbling and veining. Some feel that Epsom doesn’t look/feel as luxurious because of this, but again, it’s personal preference! I have a Kelly in Epsom and one in Togo, and I love them both for different reasons.

Thank you so much for your feedback! I love the fact that it’ll be scratch resistant and maybe not need to baby it as much! I’m still very undecided on which shape will suit me more. I’m definitely more of a casual dresser so I’m thinking sellier might not suit my look?

I've had a K28 epsom sellier for about 4 years now. I love it. It's attributes and cons have been duly noted above. As to the stiffness, I've found that over time that has dissipated somewhat, but it's still stiff. It's stiffness, however, is why the bag keeps its shape so well, so if you like your bags not to look "slouchy" its a good thing. It is also somewhat waterproof. I keep a foldable waterproof tote in it when I wear it which is used for major downpours, but I've worn it a few times were random raindrops, snowflakes have hit it with no issues. It also once got a glass of water poured on it. I dried it off immediately, and no issues. As to the K28 size, I think it's perfect and would love to get another one in a retourne style. 6743465F-A1A2-455B-A387-A92BFF762558_1_105_c.jpeg
