Kelly 25 or 28

25. Owned the 28 for a short while and sold it off but only because I carry very little things.

Both sizes and both colors are beautiful in sellier with GHW. You have to decide if you need a little more room if 25 or 28. But for sellier I love the 25 and I would downsize whatever i needed to take. For me the 28 is a little to small for work and a little too big for evening and shopping. Also i am not a fan of the casual look the contrast stitching of gold on a sellier kelly. So process of elimination is definitely the etain in a Kelly 25. Good luck deciding.

I can fit everything i need on daily basis in my chanel mini rectangle, so i think 25 will be fine.

I have a 25 in sellier. I also have a 28 retourne.
My 25 cannot fit a large wallet. I have a long bearn wallet and it barely fits inside, and pushes against the sides, so I don’t use it when carrying my 25. What I do carry: 2 Calvi wallets, sunglasses in soft case, iPhone XS, 2 lippies in a small bag, reading glasses. And right now I can carry a very small hand sanitizer in a baggie and a mask. But I have to take out the readers or sunnies.

As for color, I happen to love Gold, but I wear a lot of white!

28 gold if it’s going to be your only kelly. 25 is cute right now because of the small bag trend. But for an only kelly size, 28 would be perfect for small or big bag trend as the 28 is the mid of those trends that come and go.

I am afraid that 28 is too big for formal party?

I'll add to that!! I can barely fit a louis vuitton full sized wallet in my 28 sellier. I think its a fantastic sized bag, but any smaller would not be very functional imo.

I watched youtube and saw people put long wallet on their k25 with no problem.

If it's for one and only Kelly Sellier in Epsom, K28 is the perfect size. It's much easier to open & close the bag too. Also, K28 is not too small & not too big in real life.

Yes, all that will fit.

Yes, it's too big for evening IMO. For an actual formal event the biggest I'd go is 25 sellier; technically a formal event calls for a clutch.

My Kelly longue wallet does NOT fit in my K25 sellier. Maybe my bag is extra small or my wallet is extra big, but it doesn't fit.

My first kelly was a 28 BBK and my second was a 28 gold (porc) 1950s kelly. I think 28 is a day bag. I don’t have a 25. Whatever you decide, make sure you love the hw bc changing your mind and having to buy other kelly bags bc you realize you are a phw person midstream is expensive.

however, I was positive that I would only have one kelly in my lifetime, and I would never have a birkin. . .

so I say, go with whatever makes your heart leap inside and know it may only be your first one.

ITA with @QuelleFromage that a clutch is best for formal. I personally dislike seeing those kelly bags or 25 birkins for formal, but many people like it, so whatever suits your style and preference

Kelly 25 if you don’t carry much like me, a Kelly 28 otherwise. I love both etain and gold, okay gold maybe a tad bit more

Kelly 28! It's a more classic size that won't go out of fashion when larger bags come back in style. It also carries more stuff; the 25 seems restrictive. I also prefer the proportions on a 28, personally.
In epsom I think I'd prefer Etain, but either would be classic and stunning.
