Ignoring her good looks, Kate Upton was just like every other airline passenger as she touched down in New York on Tuesday.

It's not just her surgeon...in fact, it's mostly probably her...saying no. I posted this once, a long time ago, but it's the best analogy I've ever come across. Plastic surgery is like remodeling your home. You start with just your cabinets, but then your counters look bad so you replace them too. Then your lighting needs upgrading. Then you change the paint, and the art, and the floors. Before you know it you're remodeling the other rooms and changing furniture and accessories etc. A simple cabinet replacement turned into a full home renovation because upgrading one area made the others look less than what they started as. That is how plastic surgery is--it starts as a peel, then botox, then you add lip injections. Then you tweek the chin or nose, then you upgrade the boobs and do some lipo. Before you know it you have done the full work up of ps on your body when you only started with botox!

In Christie Brinkley's case she's done a great job of differentiating between small tweaks and major operations. She also probably hasn't caved to pressure from people (surgeons, hangerson etc) who encourage her to do more...she did a little here or there but kept it small and subtle. She is an example of "what to do."

Kate Upton carries two cell phones while heading out of Madison Square Garden on Saturday night (November 16) in New York City.

The 21-year-old model and actress watched as the New York Knicks fell to the Atlanta Hawks 110 – 90 that night.

“I am SO excited the most amazing person has FINALLY joined twitter!! @CameronDiaz,” Kate recently tweeted about her pal Cameron Diaz.

Cameron tweeted back, “I miss you so much little lamb!”

In case you didn’t know, Kate and Cameron are starring together in the upcoming movie The Other Woman, which is about a woman who teams up with her boyfriend’s wife to plot mutual revenge.

having an apple-shaped body, i am kind of happy that she represents the body type in the fashion industry. i think ours is not a celebrated body type compared to hourglass/straight/pear shaped figures. for me, it always been dressing to hide/minimize the broadness of the shoulder, thick waist and small hips (no bum) and make it look to appear closer to an hour-glass. since it's quite mannish, not people think it's really sexy but i'm glad kate upton's out there promoting our apple-shape figure

also, having read through some comments here bashing her body, i am quite disappointed with people who show closed-mindedness on the concept that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. one cannot choose a body type to be born into, same as class, gender and race. anyway, turns out there are quite a good number of people who do appreciate the apple-shape and find it quite sexy! YES! our turn in the limelight LOL

Her mid section is always photoshopped, as it is in this spread. I don't see that as "promoting".
