She’s appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue twice but Kate Upton has now become the first model ever to grace the front of the weekly edition of the magazine.

Joined by Atlanta Braves brothers Justin Upton and B.J. Upton, who she jokes are long lost cousins, the 21-year-old model and actress ditches her bikini to don the team uniform for the magazine’s Major League Baseball Playoffs preview.

It’s a far cry from her previous appearances, which have seen her in a red bikini for the 2012 swimsuit edition and just a pair of white bikini bottoms and an open parka this year.

Not only is Kate Upton a Sports Illustrated cover girl with a burgeoning acting career, but she's also dating Dancing With The Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

The voluptuous 21-year-old confirmed the rumours of a relationship in an interview on Good Day NY on Thursday morning.

Speaking with hosts Rosanna Scotto and Grey Kelly, the voluptuous model looked a little taken aback when the pair asked her if she was seeing the dancer, but she seemed more than happy to dish.

'Yes,' she replied without hesitation. 'He's really nice.'
