Yes, its the lighting (and change of light,) as well as the angle. No flash was used, in an attempt to capture the natural appearance of the bag. You can see these nuances in Berta's pic as well.
I agree, it looks good! And feels good too! There's nothing quite so wonderful as carrying a fine bag, eh?
Wow. I just ordered this bag from Amazon.com thanks to you ladies. I had never heard of Kale before, but thought the bag looked beautiful and loved the fact it was on sale for more than 60% off! So, I googled the ChiltonII and arrived at this site, read all of your comments, ogled your photos, and was convinced by all of you that it was every bit as cool as i thought.
