Side note: does this earring cause anyone else extreme pain? :confused1:

I have mine in my very old and very healed rook (inner, very thick cartilage) piercing, and since Friday it’s been hurting so bad almost like I just got it pierced!

My SA said I could try it out for another week and then return it if the pain persists, but it’s so cute I really want it to work. Not sure why my old hoop was fine and this one is causing so. much. pain. Perhaps cause it’s larger and heavier being solid gold?

Anyone else have pain with it?

I’d recommend switching it out. I think this earring might be thicker than the earring you were pierced with so it might be stretching your piercing. It’s also really heavy.
I have a rook and it’s my worst piercing. It’s so sensitive

Rook is TOTALLY the worst, glad someone understands haha.

Exactly like you said I think it’s a bigger gauge and also heavier, so I’m treating it like a new piercing with saline wound wash etc. I really want to keep it here cause I love the look, but with the rook being so sensitive it may need to go!

Gonna give it a few more days and see. :)

I have fully pierced ears and all piercings healed. I had the same issue when I swapped one of my earrings with my juste un clou huggie.
The sharp end doesn't help at all and the hinged clasp doesn't either. It is now fully healed but I persisted and persisted. It is in my upper cartilage.
I think for actual piercings this particular size is actually too big and keep moving and upsetting the hole...

Yes, it’s certainly heavier and the sharp edges don’t help matters!

Luckily though I’ve also persisted and my rook seems to be healing with the JUC happily. :) One more week and I think will be all good!

For those who own it, do you find it worth the money?

My CA finally got mine in for me from Switzerland, but the price increase is throwing me off when I was already doubtful at $850!

I kinda feel like the $1k is better put towards another bracelet, but then again the earring is very unique and will be a fun conversation piece.
I rarely get earrings and I figured this would be a statement piece if im gonna get 1 so I didnt mind the pricetag eventhough they were small. If you’ve a lot in your collection & don’t like them enough to justify the pricetag then perhaps you might want to save the money for something more substantial. :flowers:

I love it it was 100% worth it to me

How often do you take your earring off?
My dad had bought the last two in UAE for me a few months back, he just travelled to visit me so I received them finally!

The only thing I don't like is that I have to wear them from behind so the nail shows. Gets a little tricky but definitely do-able for those of us who want to wear them as a pair. Otherwise I'm in love! Probably going to wear it on my main or second holes. My cartilage piercing isn't healed enough to handle these just yet.

Attached is me wearing it in my second hole.

How often do you take your earrings on/off? Do you sleep with them on? I just received my pair and am surprised how fragile the hinge system seems....I wasn't planning on keeping them on 24/7. Thanks.

I keep mine on 24/7 in my cartilage since I’ve gotten it and it’s not gotten loose. Sometimes because of the end of the nail it will hook on to a silk scarf I’m wearing or my satin pillow case which is annoying but it’s never come loose.
