Of course, shoebuy has free return shipping, so it's a win-win! I'll post pics of MY Brooke when she arrives... I'm excited - it's a small bag, but I honestly don't carry a lot - and from what I can determine this bag only weighs 1 lb...:D

I just currently bought the Frye Brooke Satchel. I have a question for you on the crossbody handle. Does your split in the middle?

I'm looking for a small crossbody for the summer. However, I'm wondering if this is too small. Anybody have this bag? I don't have any Frye bags, but I love the look. Let me know what you think.

I saw this bag - Frye Jenny satchel - at Nordstrom yesterday. Love the leather, it has outside pockets on front and back. Only downside for me is short handles (it does have the optional shoulder strap). And it's full price, $458 as I recall.


I've seen Frye occasionally at NR but not much lately and not in any styles I like. Maybe one of these will get there eventually.


Anyone have Frye bags?

Frye logan messenger bag in cognac.
Actually, not owned by me--I recommended to man who bought & loves it.
I threaten to steal it often. It has amazing leather character some bags take years to build.

I dislike many frye bag colors--& the linings often seem not to compliment well--I MUST view choices irl, not just online.
Great quality @ price-point. Prefer leather shoulder straps these have, over canvas types.

SA said frye bags need a product for boot leather, not for bag leather--unsure if true. Owner uses saddle soap on his logan.

yes, this bag was really nice (in the brown/cognac color and also burnt red) but I have an aversion to paying full retail and the short (3.5 inch) handles make it less than ideal
but if I could get it for a discount, I might be willing to overlook the short hanldes

Nice bag! I have quite a few Frye bags. I love their boots, and a few years ago I started buying their bags too. Nice leather bags, but I personally wouldn't pay near retail for them, though. I'm at the point I try to not pay retail for anything much, but sometimes you can't find what you are looking for discounted, so you have to decide if you want it bad enough. At least Nordstrom will price match, so if you buy it at full price and find it elsewhere, you can ask them to give you a price adjustment. Right now TJ Maxx has some nice Frye bags, and at least 3-4 styles I've seen are on clearance for $200 or less ATM. I just got one yesterday for $180, and it was originally $448 retail. The highest price I've seen them at TJ Maxx is ~ $300, and for styles that sell cheaper than 6pm.com is offering. However, 6pm.com typically has quite a few styles at great prices too.

Hi sdkitty!

I bought the Frye Brooke Drawstring bag for a great price at Nordstrom a few months ago. It is sort of "hippie" looking so I usually wear it with jeans and t-shirts when I don't want to worry about my bag. The leather is very thick, and the bag seems very well made. The interior lining is thick cotton as well, and the inside pockets for cell are made of same exterior leather.

Frye has many different styles, and I often see them on sale at some of the online retailers, and at stores like Nordstrom and now at TJ Maxx as baglady39 pointed out. I hope you find one that you like and works for you!
