I spoke with an someone at Frye this morning and she said their bags are selling like hotcakes, and she expects the handbag line will be extended. Sounds like a plan to me!!!
Awesome! Bad for the wallet though! I'd love to see what they come up with - I think the Cameron is a good mix between kinda rugged/tomboyish and stylish. I don't feel like I'm girly or frumpy with it!

NOOOOOO !!!! I just went to the Macy's 2 blocks from my office at lunchtime to return something. RETURN! And they had completely reorganized the handbag department since last week and added Frye bags! They had a Cameron Satchel in moss green and I am IN LOVE! I didn't buy it... yet.

I know! I went in to Macy's on Tuesday and saw the same thing! I'm in trouble.... again.

I agree--about both: The hit my checking acct will take and your opinion about the Cameron. The moss color seems, imo, to be a little bit dressier just because of the color, but still has that "vintage", and all the other things you said, vibe.

I got the Brooke satchel today - and it's LOVE. I LOVE this bag. I can't get pics until Sunday, but there will be pics - I love this bag, seriously, and it's got lots of room (for me). I am getting a pair of Billy short boots tomorrow - can't wait for those!!!

I checked out Zappos, Overstock and Shoebug and found their prices are either the same, or not much different, than buying directly from the company. Plus, the company has many more styles and colors to choose from. Their website is thefryecompany.com. Check it out.

Good customer service and friendly people to deal with.

Yes, thank you, too bad they weren't able to give me the $50 discount I was able to get at shoebuy.com...

OK, here we go - I love this bag, just absolutely adore it. Unfortunately, right now, I will not be able to use it because it's too small for my current wallet; let me tell you, though, I'm not returning the bag just yet - I will keep an eye out for a smaller wallet and then ... then I will rock this bag. Shoebuy gives me 60 days to return, so Brooke is in the closet now if/until I can find a suitable wallet. The two end zippered pockets save it for organization and useability. I can foresee that if can change my whole way of thinking about handbags... (I'm a hobo woman...) the Brooke will be my new bag. Actually, I think it would be fair to call this a giant wallet/pouch with handles. :D The leather is divine! The hardware is fantastic! Love!

A) Gorgeous
B) Maybe just get a cheap wallet. Even like a Fossil zip coin pouch, you can put cards, folded cash and coins in those.

I just discovered Frye bags and am totally in love with the ones that look old & beat-up.

These are brand new, not vintage.

Anyone else a fan of Frye bags? I'd love to see your photos or hear about their quality/durability.

I don't think I've owned a Frye bag over the decades. I can't remember. Back in the 70s, Frye boots and other Frye products were common here in L.A. I have a friend who still has her pair of Frye boots from the 70s. They look cool and retro now and her adult daughter wears them sometimes. Hers look like the ones that the woman, on the right (in the ad), is wearing.

I have other friends who have owned Frye bags and they have held up fine.

Just ordered this from Bloomingdales.com with F&F! I saw it two days ago at macys and kept thinking about it! Macy's.com didnt have it so I ended up just getting it at bloomies! Can't wait to get it!

I almost bought that bag when it came out at the beginning of fall. Nordstrom carried it in an exclusive, gorgeous plum color. It sold out very fast, here in L.A., in the plum color.

Well, the moss green Cameron Satchel I saw at Macy's yesterday at lunch followed me home. I thought about it all afternoon and I have wanted a green leather bag for years. Until now, I never saw one I loved. Tags are off and I carried it to work today. I can't tell you the last time I carried a bag so soon after buying it. Not sure if either of the pics capture the color very well... but one captures my silly Sam, he's 8 months old.

Zappos had the plum the last time I looked.

Thanks. I'll check Zappos. When it first came out, in the fall, I checked stores and online and could only find plum at Nordstrom. Not even the Frye website had it in plum. I was told that it was exclusive to Nordstrom. I saw it at Nordstrom at The Grove, here in L.A. When I went back a week or so later, plum was sold out.

This is gorgeous... How heavy is it? I can see a trip to Macy's tomorrow...

Oh no, I'm a bad influence on you!

It was a little heavy with all my stuff when I held it by hand. With the shoulder strap, it was quite comfortable.
