^ true... if they still have it when I wake up tomorrow, it shall be mine. Not that I'm going to bed right now, mind you, but I need to step back and take a breath. tPF can do that to you, you know - here I was minding me own business suddenly I want a bag I never knew existed until 5 minute prior - . :D

So what did you decide?

So what did you decide?

I'll have made a decision by the end of the day ... am waiting, now, on some work news ...

I have been trying to find a place locally that sells Frye (other than boots) so I could see the Brooke in person! I know there has to be a store in the Twin Cities area that has Frye handbags. Weirdest thing that I can't find it!!!

Well, I decided to get the Frye Brooke satchel - they were now sold out on Zappos, but I found the brown on Shoebuy.com - (who is still having that lovely 15% off with SPRING15 and another 5% for new member discount) - so I got this lovely for $200.22, rather than the full $248. Of course, shoebuy has free return shipping, so it's a win-win! I'll post pics of MY Brooke when she arrives... I'm excited - it's a small bag, but I honestly don't carry a lot - and from what I can determine this bag only weighs 1 lb...:D

Can't wait to see pics of the real deal when it shows up.

NOOOOOO !!!! I just went to the Macy's 2 blocks from my office at lunchtime to return something. RETURN! And they had completely reorganized the handbag department since last week and added Frye bags! They had a Cameron Satchel in moss green and I am IN LOVE! I didn't buy it... yet.

It is SO funny that they are making bags that look abused right out of the gate, when they are known for longevity... What will these bags look like in 20 years?

I've never had a bag - when I've checked them out at NR, they've been heavier than I like to carry, but they are SO well-made. Definitely something you'll hand down to a relative. :D
They're not abused in the way that Free People sometimes pre-wears stuff for you (once I bought a pair of boots that just had this oily grime on it - ugh, is that hip now?!). I have the Cameron satchel too and it's more just the dye job. I think it'll still look great in years! Definitely a bit heavy but briefcase-like satchels usually are, right?

I'm so glad to see a thread on Frye Bags. I just discovered them in February and am very impressed by the quality and the uniqueness of the bags.

I bought the Cameron Satchel in Moss, and I LOVE it :hbeat:. That color is soooooo pretty. Also bought the Cameron Hobo in Cognac...great bag.

Then a few days ago, I checked out the Frye bags at the only store in the whole state that sells Frye and found the Brooke Shoulder bag in distressed white leather with coil straps. Too cool. I don't know how I missed these bags all these years, but now that I've found them......more trouble for my checking account.

Now I'm lusting after the Danni Messenger in stone, and perhaps even the Brooke Shoulder bag in Chocolate.

I spoke with an someone at Frye this morning and she said their bags are selling like hotcakes, and she expects the handbag line will be extended. Sounds like a plan to me!!!
