i LOVE it - think it very interesting and somehow appealing. they should NOT show it flat like a pancake, much more interesting than that.... BH merchandised the bag very very well.
maybe they are being mysterious and telling SAs on one coast one thing and on another another thing? i have talked to 3 or 4 on this side of the world.... but these things are always mysterious. most SAs i spoke to were totally surprised by the 50% off sale.
Yes, i cannot remember when the violet ostrich belly came out, but it is LOVELY. Hermes Junkie and UCLABOI have the clutches in the same color. I could be wrong though, you never know, maybe they will bring it out as a FW bag and call it lilac?
ReRe, I think that the mini crochet is TDF! When carried it will look like the first and fourth pictures, especially with you things weighting down the bag. The pancake look will only be apparent when you set the bag down... and not even then because your things will influence the shape of the bag carried and at rest. Will it match your wardrobe? - only you can make that determination. 40% off is great if it is the right bag for you!
With regard to wanting this after one day of receiving the matita belly: satisfaction is not satiation! I experience this all the time!
Unfortuately, I have missed the matita belly and the FW matita is not like this one, so I do not believe that a FW bag in Matita will work for me. According to Bryan and Belen - and several other SA's that I called looking for the matita belly a couple of weeks ago - it is gone here in the US... perhaps there is an SA that will do a worldwide search, but with the bag on sale they may not be able to transfer the bag to the US. My best guess is that there will be one or two will be eventually offered on eBay. I am numb to all this right now.
Back to your crochet dilemma - if you love it, get it while it is still available. And if on the small chance that it does not work for you, then you can return it to Saks, NM, BG - or wherever you bought it... which IMO is a real benefit!

yes, there was a purple ostrich belly last fall, it is with the croco strap, $5700 something like that....

That was FW08. I saw it at the trunk show in May last year.
Okay I'm awake now and its back in my cart. Wasn't there two sizes/color of the crochet bag. The one I found is the one with the green in it, I think there is a more expensive one, which does not have green, and may be the one pictured in shots 1 and 2, the flat picture definitely shows the green on the one in my cart.
Have not hit the enter key yet, I just heard about a 10% off for opening a credit card, so I filled out the card on line, thinking it would come back with a temporary card number when approved, but it just said processed. So now I have an email into an SA to see if he can help, but its early here so it may be some time before I can reach someone. I need to make absolutely certain it can be returned just in case. I loved the story...given the price would you have bought it if someone hadn't snatched it up.
