I think the reason the reviews were so bad is because they all showed the bag laying flat and that makes it look like a "plate carrier", but its hard to believe that people who review bags for a living wouldn't view the bag as it looks being carried, rather than laying on the floor. I'll be curious to see how it hangs with my items in it, if the bottom will lay flat or droop.

ReRe....i have been thinking this bag.....good that you got it so i can stop looking at Barneys web site everyday...i love this bag, i see that IRL, i love it even more....keep it! and post some pictures!

Yay! ReRe, I find the bag very interesting and maybe I am the odd one here but I do like it when it is in its "resting" position. Then it can double up as a pillow or cushion :p And it looks even better when being carried. It is an amazing piece of construction to get it to do that.

I hope it will be as fantastic when you receive it.

Hi, I LOVE ostrich, especially BV! I have the purple ostrich/croc belly bag but the color is not nearly as pretty as in this picture. It's a softer, more pastel purple. I HAD TO HAVE this bag because of the ad campaigns pictures, but I find that I don't use the bag often.....I wish I had purchased the Noce bag instead. In fact, I just purchased the tea belly -- I think I will use it a lot more...

oh, i am so sorry you don't love the purple ostrich. i am not a purple person and thought the color more pretty in real life. shucks. well (and please mods, i am not offering) i am sure you could sell it if you really don't think you will use it. the tea belly is lovely and very very practical.

i had one SA helped me to locate this bag one time and did not like it after i saw it IRL...so i waited unit I found the tea ostrich belly. i think you are right, the Noce croc/Ostrich is SO NICE!!!!!!!!!!.....

Oh how come? Actually I had the chance to get it at the trunk show, with 10% off. I was choosing between this with the bombe, and my DH only approved the bombe (he thinks it's more practical). Every time when I see a picture of this beautiful ostrich/croc bag, I hate myself of letting it go! Argh!

Anyway, you should use the ostrich/croc bag more! ;)

Don't feel bad -- I'm sure you are using your bombe much more than I use the belly bag. I don't know how to coordinate it. I can wear it with gray or navy, other than that I don't know. Maybe someone else could make it work... :p
