Yes, but I make decisions slowly - I feel more comfortable when I am not in panic mode. The sale with no returns and frenetic buying pace really put me off balance. When the dust settled, I realized that I really wanted that bag, but none were available.

And luckily, or unluckily, nothing in the FW collection so far is screaming my name...

Back to the crochet bag. I, too, think that there were two sizes. Is there only one available in your sale and just of the size that has green? On the BV wesite, the $5200 mini crochet says "multisaffron/tea" - and does not mention green. But remember, sellers of BV other than boutiques can order slightly different products/colors, etc. I have never seen this bag on sale so that is food for thought...

Good luck on your decision ReRe. I love the bag and find it very interesting in a very good way. It's very artistic and I like that.

I am wondering if the Belly bag will become one of the icons. Seems to be very popular. As much as I love the Cabat, it is so over my bag limit, maybe the Copper Belly would satisfy me.

I really do think it they pictured the bag open and not flat it would make a difference to how people viewed it. Okay I did it. I ordered the bag from Barney's at $3119, no tax or shipping. I was told when my application comes thru for the Barney's card they will transfer the charge to the card and give me the 10% which will be another $319, bringing it down to $2800, not quite 50% but since to my knowledge it didn't go on sale at the boutiques its a moot point. I have 30 days to return the item they said, and 7 days for a price adjustment if it goes does again. I'm not sure whether to hope I love it or hate it but will be doing some major cleanouts to pay for it.

ReRe, I'm so happy that you did it! I've seen and touched both large (with green in it) and medium (without green) ones and they are amazing! I definitely want the large one if I had the funds. I remember one of the horrible reviews on tPF, I just had to jump in and defend it by showing different pics of it. Hope you love it IRL too.:heart:

Thanks all for your support. I've been worrying about spending this much after just having bought at the sale and there was also a jewelry sale at our favorite jewelry store and I did damage there....but hopefully I'll either love it or hate it and will know what to do then. Are both bags limited...does anyone know, Well I'll definitely take pics even if for some reason I don't fall in love and keep it. Thanks for the info Mid...its strange because the price matches the smaller bag, but the picture has the green in it, so if the green is the larger bag then I'm confused about which it will be, guess it will be a surprise. Maybe they both have green in them, the pictures above make the large one look much more green.

congratulations, i have seen this bag irl and it is a really beautiful bag. i think it is limited with a plack.
i love that it is a little different. l love the bv woven bags but sometimes i want to see something different. i don't know why the reviews were so bad. i think it looks and feels great. anyway i think it is the kind of bag you will either love or hate so the choice should be easy.
please post pictures. can't wait.

Thanks annie9999. I think the reason the reviews were so bad is because they all showed the bag laying flat and that makes it look like a "plate carrier", but its hard to believe that people who review bags for a living wouldn't view the bag as it looks being carried, rather than laying on the floor. I'll be curious to see how it hangs with my items in it, if the bottom will lay flat or droop.
