If your outlet is still open everything is an extra 50% off. All of these were marked full price (minus the 50% off) except the love bug was marked down to $49.99, leprechaun $34.98, blue seahorse $34.99 and music box $49.99 (minus the 50% off). Sorry for the iphone pic. Pic is not that great.

Great charms! and congrats on finding them at great prices!

Called my nearest outlet to see what's up. They have one (1) charm and are not getting anymore. (The Cookie Jar...I already have it.)

They are closing their doors forever on May 17. :crybaby:

Since it's about 30 miles from me, I've only been there maybe three times, but still, I will miss it. (It's about 3 doors down from the Coach outlet. Talk about temptation!)

Oh well...life goes on...

I also phoned my nearest outlet and learned that the 50% off sale is going on. There weren't any charms there I wanted but they did have a number of charms. The ones I can recall are: Lady Bug; Daisy; and the newest Jewelry Box.

I asked the SA if the store was going to close and she offered me her district manager's telephone number so I could speak with her. It wasn't that serious for me. I merely wanted to be able to report on the thread what's happening at the Citadel Outlet.

I'm sure time will tell what's going to ultimately happen to the JC charms. It has been a ride for me for years.

And the ride is not over. There will be more Charms as that is where the money is for whoever now owns it.

This place has become a ghost town...is everyone on Prozac??? Cheer up! Things will get better.

^JC can go on should they choose to. For me the ride is nothing like it used to be and I'm ok with that. I'm sure a "must have" charm will always lure me back-temporarily. I hope people will continue to post any news they obtain about the company, it stores and of course the charms!

It does seem odd though that there have been no new charms for April.😦
I've seen some possibilities: a pug, a beach bag, a frog prince, a yellow VW bug, libre mask, cobra in a basket, and the pin cushion doll.
Some of these are being sold by someone saying they are from a JC sample sale. I'm not familiar enough with the brand as a whole to know about sample sales.

They don't do sample sales:nogood: The seller must have gotten them early before release or perhaps they are prototypes? I have been wondering about any new releases and check often.

GLL: Your pooch looks adorable. I hope Maxim brings you much joy in your life. Congrats!

TaterT: Thanks for information. I know it can get very confusing at times. Early on when I first started collecting, I liked the Victorian Hand charm. When I saw it listed I purchased it and as an after thought, I contacted the seller to ask if it came in a tagged box. I was told it was a prototype of a charm that was never made. I knew seller was most likely lying since I had seen it once or twice before. I guess they will say anything to sell their items.

I guess we all just have to be careful. There are some charms that have no distinguishing JC markings such as most fruit charms, pegasus, original birdcage, cz charms, corsets, original seahorse, pea pod, ham and some others. The only way we know they are authentic is because we have purchased them in original tagged boxes from stores or are posted in the reference thread. Also, all these charms have is the JC clasp but as we all know, some sellers take of clasps and add it to anything and then label it "rare charm."

If these questionable charms continue getting sold at high prices, I wonder how many more will show up?

They will continue to show up and be sold at astronomical prices as long as Buyers neglect to LOOK AT THE PHOTO'S, CHECK FB, READ THE TEXT (although many sellers today don't bother with text...just "new in box"), DO SOME RESEARCH AND ASK QUESTIONS OF THE SELLER. If a seller does not respond, hit the back key. If a seller is snarky, hit the back key. One in particular comes to mind but I cannot elaborate here...yet someone purchased it for 124.99.

So, as long as the Charms are in demand, and almost all are, the sellers who have 10, 15 or 20 of the same one will continue to be out there. (That should immediately raise a Red Flag in any buyer's brain.) Remember, they get a lot of information from this thread as far as who wants what, so they know or think they can ask any price they like. At the end of the day, it's the Buyer's responsibility to get the facts before they bid. If it turns out to be fake, eBay or whichever auction site should handle it.

I'm done. Walking away.....

Think I'm going to change my ID on this site to "Thread Killer." Hey, it happens! But isn't that what this site is about? Honesty? At what point does one begin to genuinely trust? Has no one had a pleasant, honest experience buying on-line? I have. And it cost a pretty penny. But it was something that meant so much to me that I did not care what it cost. And to this day, I'm glad I spent the money. That's what collecting is all about. Use your head and follow your heart.

Thank you so much BB! Young Maxim has been a challenge but most importantly he is a blessing. My husband and I are so very happy with this little bundle of fur with a strong disposition just like ours! :D

I take that to mean when you say "No" he continues to munch on the furniture?

Saw the Pin Cushion Doll Charm on the Bay (I believe it's called a Voo-Doo Doll) and it's a HAVE TO HAVE! It made me laugh...hope it's cloth as I have a few pins I'd like to stick in it! :lolots:
