Obvious I could not control your activities but your focusing too much about JD tendency makes you appeared to be more of a JD hater than a general bag lover.
And inferior or not, there has been no heard issues about JD hardware erosion since this thread started in 2022 so why would we care about technicality if they still stay pretty after these years?

Again, I am not the topic here. Please stop insinuating about my person and stick to discussing bags.
There have been reports about erosion. I saw a very angry review after a Dianne bag patina-d into trash in less than 1 year of use.

I stand corrected about one bag. I’ve never seen this tote in my 59-years of life. I’ve been fortunate until your latest post. @Dann2510 is correct — we know why the Lectoure tote is more expensive.

I just thought of another great thing about JD — their business practice isn’t being sued like H’s model. At JD, you buy what you want because you want it, not because you’re required to (literally and figuratively) pay homage to a company to hopefully be offered a bag for $10K+ in a color you don’t want. Oh, wait. My H comment will just take us back to the praises of Celine. I know the routine.

Ugly or not, the question was why you are touting JD tote bags as budget-friendly options to Hermes. JD is less expensive than which H totes exactly?

2024 prices:
Garden Party in Negonda leather - 3,100€
Picotin in Clemence leather - 2,490€/2,700€
Evelyne 29 in Clemence leather - 2,900€

The math doesn´t add up, especially after duties and taxes for US.

Please share this “patina-d into trash” Diane review. I’ll inform JD. It sounds like a good read.

I wrote totes and non-Diane bags.

JD prices begin at 2,100€ for bags, 2,800€ for totes, and their clutches (WOC style) start at 1,850€. I think the Picotin is H’s least expensive bag at 2,490€. JD wins.

As for totes —
The Picotin is not comparable in shape and pocket offering to a Lectoure tote.
The other H bags (GP36 and Evie 33), comparable-ish in size with a Lectoure tote, cost more than the vertical Lectoure. I couldn’t fit my laptop in an Evelyne 29 or a GP 30. I owned both bags. My laptop fits in a Lectoure tote.

Duties and taxes excluded. Product only.

The story about a pink Diane which was not even worth the repair is from a certain Nicolas under this Purseblog article:

I saw this post on the blog and wondered if it was you @FatFIRE
You don´t really think I am the only one who dislikes the brand, do you?
Outside of the fan bubble, JD is quite severely criticized.

Just check the top rated comments under that article (from a year ago), they are all critical.
Also check this reddit post. The comments are hilarious!

Thank you.
I read the story. Wow! I’m a little confused. JD didn’t have a pink Diane option last year and I know why Ramesh is no longer with Moynat. The story writer is incorrect.

And heritage has never been sold as a box leather. The story is riddled with inaccuracies.
Seems very problematic that a link with fabricated information remains an allowed post, while posts questioning why this isn’t cracked down on get removed.

Anyway, I just bought my first Diane after initially being frustrated with the pricing changes (the new colors wooed me) so I look forward to posting a photo!
