I wore mine today here are some pics
The scratches are next level, you literally cannot use this bag without scratching it. I’ll have to get used to this as I’m not used to having a “worn in” look on any luxury bag.View attachment 5770185View attachment 5770186View attachment 5770189
Thank you for your input. I want a black Diane L26, and what you wrote helps prepare me for ownership.
I’m lovin’ your look. It shows the bag’s versatility. My brother, a bassist in a band, and I love your web ring, too!
He’s saying he needs the bling, and your ring shames his. :coolio:

Thank you for the Diane L26 photos!:flowers:

Thank you, very kind! The ring is Loree Rodkin, I don't know if there is appreciation for her jewelry here but I have acquired a bit of it over the years and the rings always get conversation started!

Thanks! Just checked out her website. Her jewelry is incredible! Nothing like complementing a JD bag with stunning jewelry. Yes!

Your bag is amazing. It looks like a perfect crossbody flap. Do you use it often? Do you miss a top handle?
Thank you for sharing a current photo.:flowers:
Thanks, I haven't used it that often but it has been fully integrated into my rotation. Sometimes I do miss a top handle, depending on what else I'm carrying around, but I tie on a twilly when it seems essential.

It's a really great bag, so happy to have it in my collection!

Need your opinion. Will passementerie strap look good with a goat skin or lizard skin bag?

I really like strap but can’t find a diane bag among what’s available right now that suits my needs.

 Thank you!!

I used "buffalo butter" and a sponge to try and buff out the scratches, it did give a 50% improvement, it also rained today (figured) and I was expecting to see water spots, that did not happen!
I LOOOVE your look, its really cool.
its a good idea to buff the scratches but I wouldn’t recommend using any kind of product on it. With my barenia bags, I use a slightly damp chamois or brushed flannel if you dont have chamois. you never know if a cream or butter or any product may react with tanning agents…. Barenia (same as Duclos heritage leather) is a very fatty leather, so buffing will encourage the natural oils to rise to the surface & help diminish the appearance of marks, as well as help the patina develop.
Btw, its really easy to get used to scratches & marks on natural leathers. As the patina develops, I actually start loving the marks on my bags

On Saturday I went out with my husband, we got home and I was still in the car, on the phone. My husband opened the door for me (automatically) I wasn’t expecting it and my Diane fell hard on the payment, I was so upset! Luckily it landed on its back (not the hardware) but it was so scratched up! I was so sad because it looked like deep scratches (I wish I took a picture). I started rubbing the scratches with my fingers (after wiping the bag with a dry cloth) and they went away! I was shocked! The scratches do blend in. Also, went out to lunch that day and a waitress spilled a lot of water on it (she tripped while serving water), my husband looked at me worried and I was thinking “no big deal because it was just water” it dried really fast and didn’t leave a stain (it was a lot of water, not drops). I’ve had this bag for more than a year so it already has a nice patina, not sure if that protected the bag or not but it looks beautiful! No stains, no deep scuffs.
Such a shocker when your new bag gets that 1st hard knock!! So happy your bag is still good after an accident-laden day.

Thank you for the tips and compliment!
I have so many leather care products, but have never owned a barenia/heritage leather item before. This is great advice, thank you!

Been following this brand on IG for awhile - need to go to Paris in person to see/feel the bags.
Does anyone know if they have exotic options in their Boutique or if they have to be ordered ?

I don't know if they have exotics to sell, yes they are on display - but, their email customer service is extremely responsive and would be able to answer this question for you.
