So far, here’s what I’ve been told.
The Fontélie —
• completely Made in France
• made from soft matte pebbled calfskin
• available (beginning next week) in four colors. I am waiting to hear what colors (besides the two in trunkdevil’s photos).
• bag dimensions — L:28cm x H: 20cm
• I have yet to find out if the strap is removable, but it is adjustable. The shortest strap drop is: 70cm (27.5”); the longest is: 75 (29.5”).:eek:That seems a bit long to me.:confused1:
• the price is 3900€ (including French VAT, but the checkout price will change depending on your address).
I'm actually thrilled (hoping it's true) about the long strap because it seems as though so many crossbody straps stop at 105cm (looking at you Hermes jypsiere). I know could go the aftermarket strap route but I'm picky, and inevitably find something not to like about either the clasp, the leather, the color options....I'll be taking a look at whether custom options are available for the Passementerie but until then, this may fit the bill.

Yes, I agree about the drop length. I’m a tall woman — ~178cm/5’10”. And I appreciate 63-64cm/24-25” crossbody drops. What I like about most of Ramesh’s bags is he adds adjustable straps, and doesn’t chop the straps off at 53-56cm/21-22” drops. He allows extra material so people can add a buckle hole for length.

I would normally be very tempted by such a bag, but I hate how bags with the handle and the strap attached to the back of the bag hang when worn. Hopefully they've done something to fix this as otherwise I quite like the aesthetic.

Guys, I’m getting the Diane crossbody and I’m absolutely deadlocked between the cognac and the bleu de cocagne. I feel like the cognac is the safer choice, is certainly elegant and prob easier to match, but I love blue and the way the silver pops. What does everyone think?

While the cognac is a safer choice as you say, the bag is so distinctive that the bleu de cocagne
hits all the right notes, JMO

edit: whoops, the tan color is chataignier, not cognac.

If you love blue then probably the blue one
