It reminds me of the Moynat Gaby which I LOVE!
I E-Mailed my contact at JD about the strap (length and if it’s adjustable), dimensions, and USD price. If I hear back before JD has the info up on their site, I’ll post the response.OH wow - that reminds me a bit of the Gaby but def its own thing, and I like how he's moved the handle towards the back of the bag - seems like it would make it easier in/out. Not sure about the strap though - do you know if that's removable/adjustable? And isn't this their first non-tote in a grained leather?

I think it also has Gaby/Moynat Voyage vibes, but better. The Fontélie’s flap hardware is smaller, the sides snap, there’s no little mustache under the flap hardware, and minimal branding.OH wow - that reminds me a bit of the Gaby but def its own thing, and I like how he's moved the handle towards the back of the bag - seems like it would make it easier in/out. Please let us know!! I’m so excited for the new additions ❤️❤️❤️I E-Mailed my contact at JD about the strap (length and if it’s adjustable), dimensions, and USD price. If I hear back before JD has the info up on their site, I’ll post the response.
Their first (Lectoure) tote is in nubuck bull skin. The Fontélie looks like it’s made of pebbled/clemence-ish calfskin.
And the handle placement seems like it would improve the way the bag is balancedOH wow - that reminds me a bit of the Gaby but def its own thing, and I like how he's moved the handle towards the back of the bag - seems like it would make it easier in/out. One other design question that comes to mind is if the bag lurches outward a wee bit, like the H 24 bag, when shoulder carried. Both have a lower rear-side shoulder strap placement. The Fontélie’s placement looks higher, so that should help with the angle. And the handle placement seems like it would improve the way the bag is balancedI'm intrigued....

Thanks for the info!So far, here’s what I’ve been told.
The Fontélie —
• completely Made in France
• made from soft matte pebbled calfskin
• available (beginning next week) in four colors. I am waiting to hear what colors (besides the two in trunkdevil’s photos).
• bag dimensions — L:28cm x H: 20cm
• I have yet to find out if the strap is removable, but it is adjustable. The shortest strap drop is: 70cm (27.5”); the longest is: 75 (29.5”).That seems a bit long to me.
• the price is 3900€ (including French VAT, but the checkout price will change depending on your address).
Thanks for the info! ❤️ Do you know if it comes with feet? Also, do you happen to know if pebbled calfskin means the texture is embossed or natural to the skin? I have a hard time telling the difference. Not sure about Moynat Gaby either. I think Hermes Togo and Clemence are natural texture not embossed (but I’m not sure). So far, here’s what I’ve been told.

That makes sense. I’m sure we will be able to tell when modeled photos are released. Thanks for the info!
I wonder if the strap dimensions they gave you are the length rather than the drop?
Once the bag is released, I’ll ask more questions. I’m curious, too. Thanks for the info! ❤️ Do you know if it comes with feet?
