My regular (not messenger) Diane L20 strap is approximately 45''
I'm 5'9'' and i use the strap in the middle of it's capacity.

I also had a mini St Claire (which i had to return) and i had to adjust the strap to the shortest setting and ideally i would still prefer even more shorter setting

I would guess that the strap will be long enough. Plus T Swift is about 5'10'' and the bag didn't appear to be too short on her photos.

Thank you!

For those of you who have a Diane Messenger bag- would you be kind enough to tell me how long (ie. the longest one) the strap drop is to the bag?
I'm trying to decide whether it will work cross body for me (I'm pretty busty).
Thanks so much in advance!
My messenger strap is right about 45". If you need it longer I am sure they would be able to make one for you.

Another thing I´ve just realized while checking Rameshes Insta. As a matter of fact, I know this artisan stitching JD bags. He´s the owner of the Atelier Tabary in Paris, still in business (second picture from his atelier).
Does JD even employ staff artisans or are they outsourcing the production to affordable ateliers?

shocking! :oh:
a blogger I follow recommends them so much for allegedly having the best quality on the market...
I always assumed they must be vertically integrated, would have never thought Joseph Duclos is not making bags themselves...

Hmm but does it really matter though? Their bags' quality is still very present so their hired employees' products must past their strict quality control process to be sent to the buyers.

but how can the quality be above the rest if bags are made externally and Joseph Duclos is not in charge of their production?
They may not be fully in charge of the production but I fully believe they have total control of which bag will come to the customer’s hand. And from what I’ve heard in this thread(albeit some negative comments without trust-worthy receipts), I fully believe in their quality. And shouldn’t we all be focus on design and quality of the bags instead of whether they are outsourcing or not ? Technology brands such as Apple still have others make their devices so if the product is splendid and the production is humanly ethical, why should we care about how they make their bags ?

I don't know what that means... isn't it like saying any customer may not be fully in charge of the production but has total control to return a bag that´s not perfect enough? :coolio:

They are in control of production. Further, every bag goes through stringent quality control sometimes by Ramesh and sometimes by the lead artisan. Employing craftspeople to sew bags is not "outsourcing" control. Final approvals are in house, and the house controls whom they use to stitch their bags.
I work in vendor oversight for clinical trials and unfortunately this can't be further from truth in practice... when it's external you don't control...
buy-it-for-life aficionados like me love a good vertical integration not without a reason
