LOL just make sure what you buy is well made and the diamonds well cut. $500 mark rarely hits that criteria.

I haven't taken the plunge on diamonds quite yet, but it's in my future lol. So far it's been metal pieces from T&Co to start while I figure out my style and the fundamentals of diamonds and other gemstones.

I've honed my tastes and what I'll wear for handbags. While a purse may be beautiful, if I won't carry it, it's not well-made, and I don't feel it's worth it, there's no point in me getting it. I figure the same should apply to my jewelry and gemstone purchases, so am grateful to the exposure of all the stunning jewelry and purchasing advice and expertise here in the forums.

I highly recommend checking out Na Hoku. They have beautiful pieces at excellent prices. For the price of a Tiffany silver piece, you can get gold at Na Hoku.

Hello ladies!!! We've been in mexico for a week and my husband wanted to get me something for our three year anniversary... So this is what we got me.

Hi ladies, I didn't want to make a new thread just for this question, so maybe you can help. :smile1:

I'm fortunate enough to be getting a bonus shortly at work and am planning on buying one nice piece of jewelry and putting the rest into savings. I'm deciding between a wear-everyday bracelet and a wear-everyday watch. For the bracelet, I've narrowed it down to a Tiffany 5-diamond DBTY bracelet in yellow gold ($2,850). For the watch, I've narrowed it down to a Cartier Tank Solo with a SS bracelet ($2,650).

Do you think one of these is a better choice than the other, or a better investment? I would probably put the bracelet on and not take it off – I tend to wear my jewelry in the shower, etc – while the watch would be taken off, perhaps not worn every single day (though I do wear a watch most days). I'm also slightly worried by the daintiness of the chain on the bracelet.

I can certainly only afford one, and they are both pricey pieces (by far the most I've ever spent on jewelry...ever!).

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give!

I think the Cartier watch is classic and timeless. You will always recall how your hard work paid off. I think the Tiffany dbty bracelet can be replicated and would worry that the daintiness of the chain would be problematic for wearing 24/7. In the end you have to get what makes you over the moon.

I think the watch is a better investment in the long run. It's a classic style that's been worn for more than 50 years, & will be worn for at least 50 more years.

I agree with Tink's assessment.

That is a beautiful ring. Happy Anniversary.

Hi All,

I've been reading a lot from this forum lately trying to search for some opinions but couldn't find any from the existing thread.

Lately I've been looking for a replacement wedding band as my current wedding which is a white gold with few mini diamonds is turning yellowish.

So, hubby suggest to get me another ring

I have been to both of the boutique & now I'm in dilemma of which brand to get Cartier or Tiffany.
Cartier Trinity or

Tiffany share setting band ring with diamond (circle)?

Personally, I like both. The difference is that, Cartier is a mixed metal band while Tiff is a platinum diamond ring.

I can't decide which to get...Can anyone give me some opinion...
Thanks in advance for any advice...

Wow, the ring turns yellow and you consider getting a new one? Why not send it to a jeweller to polish it and redo the rhodium plating?
Then, of course, enjoy a new ring. Imho, the trinity is a perfect RHR ;)

You can have your current ring replated but if you want something new...both are lovely!
The Cartier Trinity always seems sportier to me, whereas the Tiffany, dressier. Whatever fits your lifestyle the best....................
