I have to show off my new pink agate, pink branded agate with pink crystal necklace.
Custom made by one of my favorite jewelry designers. I wanted pinks/fuchsia to go with my Pashli bag and clothing...this fits the bill, perfectly!

Hi All,

I've been reading a lot from this forum lately trying to search for some opinions but couldn't find any from the existing thread.

Lately I've been looking for a replacement wedding band as my current wedding which is a white gold with few mini diamonds is turning yellowish.

So, hubby suggest to get me another ring

I have been to both of the boutique & now I'm in dilemma of which brand to get Cartier or Tiffany.
Cartier Trinity or

Tiffany share setting band ring with diamond (circle)?

Personally, I like both. The difference is that, Cartier is a mixed metal band while Tiff is a platinum diamond ring.

I can't decide which to get...Can anyone give me some opinion...
Thanks in advance for any advice...
I would go with the Cartier. I love that ring and the mixed metals. If I was going to get a band like Tiffany I would go to your jeweler and get the equivalent for 1/4 of the price.

I agree, Meg...the Cartier Trinity is so iconic!

Exactly. When you see that ring you think Cartier. You see a platinum diamond band and you see exactly that. Honestly, I wouldn't spend the extra money for the Tiffany name on a band. I would either use the extra money to get larger diamonds on the band of the same quality that you would have gotten at Tiffany.

You read my mind, GF! [emoji6]

I think the Cartier watch is classic and timeless. You will always recall how your hard work paid off. I think the Tiffany dbty bracelet can be replicated and would worry that the daintiness of the chain would be problematic for wearing 24/7. In the end you have to get what makes you over the moon.

I think the watch is a better investment in the long run. It's a classic style that's been worn for more than 50 years, & will be worn for at least 50 more years.

I agree with Tink's assessment.

That is a beautiful ring. Happy Anniversary.

Thank you all for your advice! I was leaning toward the watch, anyway. I think that's what I'll get. I'll be back with photos when I do! :smile1:

Can't wait to see it! I love watches.
even my hubby too prefer Cartier....he said somehow he felt that the craftsmanship in Cartier looks more tempting...

I think I will go for Cartier....

I think that's a wonderful choice. It's nice that your husband prefers it too. Hope you post pictures when you get it.

like the others have said, you need to have your original ring replated. all gold is yellow. they change the color by adding other metals to the mix. white gold & platinum are generally plated with rhodium. it will wear off eventually. platinum is a white metal, but it's dull. they plate it with rhodium to make it shiny.

I like both rings if you decide to get a new one. the tiffany will be easier to wear with an engagement ring. you'll have to try the trinity on with your e-ring to see if you like them together.
