Aww, thank you so much F&F! I will tell DH. I am truly blessed. I will post the Chopard as soon as I get it back from my jeweler. You are right my jeweler really is awesome. I knew he would find a band that worked, but I was hoping that I could get an actual Chopard band for the watch. I guess I will just have to think of this as a custom watch that no one else will have. The upside to Chopard not doing the band is when I asked him how much it would run he said probably 15,000 if they even had it. :roflmfao: So probably would not have done it anyway. The band I am getting is still pricey but nowhere near that much.

You know, the first thing I thought was that you would save a pretty penny with your jeweler's band. No one will know it's not Chopard except you. IMO the important thing is the overall look...which I know will be fabulous.

I am sorry it has taken so long to post again. The update on the Chopard RG/WG with the leather strap is that Chopard was not able to switch my WG band as it didn't fit. I had purchased a croc strap on eBay but it wasn't the right band either. It did fit but there was a hole where the strap should fit flush against the pin. I wore it like that for a few days and just hated it. Also, Chopard would/ could not get a WG strap for the watch because the watch was a special edition and didn't ever come that way. In the meantime, I tried on several watches while we were at the mall as it was my birthday DH was very obliging. I tried on the other watch that I had fallen in love with the Cartier RG w/diamond Ballon Bleu. I thought that the 33 was the size that I wanted and it turned out after trying on several watches I fell in love with the 28mm. Even the SA said it was the perfect size for me and that the 33 was too big. So long story short I found one a few days later on eBay pre-owned with factory diamonds in 28mm and at a price I could stomach. It arrived last week. It is gorgeous and looks brand new. I took it to my jeweler and had a couple of lengths taken out. While I was there I had my jeweler look at my RG/WG Chopard and he was able to find a WG band that I loved and would fit with a little adjustment. I will be picking that up next week. :D I also received RG jewelry for my birthday/Valentine's Day and have pictures as well. I got this little box for Hanukkah from DH and I keep it on my nightstand. It makes it very convenient to take off my jewelry and put in a safe place without having to run upstairs every time I want to take something off.

Thank you Susie.

Ahhhh!! Meg, I love it!

Please help me decide urgently. which one of these rings do you think is better? I already own the drop shaped one but I think I want to exchange for the oval one. What do you guys think?

They are both beautiful. I prefer the oval for the shape and center stone, but I like the way the diamonds look in your ring better. They both look great on you. Can you post a picture of the setting as well? From what I can see I like the oval setting better as it looks unique.

Thank you Meg for your reply, you are so kind :) I don't have the oval one yet, but I will post a new picture tomorrow when I try it on again. I need to decide until tomorrow evening.

<3 By the way, love your doggie, so sorry for your loss

Well it is finally back and I have to say I love the overall look of the watch. It even gives the watch a larger appearance.
Ahhhh!! Meg, I love it!

Thank you. I have been on a bit of a jewelry bender.

Aww, thank you. Welcome to tpf. Is the stone a sapphire? The oval one looks like a nicer stone from the picture, but the diamonds on your ring look so sparkly.

Thank you :) yes both sapphires are very clear and a nice color. Oval has a much bigger sapphire smaller diamonds. Mine has bigger diamonds ( both has h color stones) the only reason I'm considering replacing it is the craftsmanship seems off, diamonds have little gaps between them.

Your watch is gorgeous by the way <3

Thank you. I am now thrilled with the way that it looks. It came with a leather band and I just didn't like that but bought the watch for the face. I took it Chopard, but they wouldn't do a WG band as the watch was a special addition watch and it never came that way. So my jeweler and I went through my options and this was the one that I chose. He then fixed it so that it would fit the watch. I am very happy with it now.

You know what then I would totally replace the ring with the other one. I like the look from the pictures of the first stone a bit better. I like shape better too. The main thing is that once you notice that the craftsmanship of something is a bit off it bothers you. I have replaced a few things for the exact same reason. My old E-ring had a gap that was just a bit off between one of the stones. It always bothered me. I was thrilled to trade it after that.

I think they're both lovely. The pear shape is more unique. The oval reminds me of Diana's ring. You can't go wrong. I'm not much help.

For me personally, I preferred rounded shapes to sharp-edged shapes in general.
