I ended up sending the watch back I just didn't love it. I did however find a rose and white gold Chopard Happy Sport. Remember that one I loved about a year ago and really wanted from Pauline at La Jolla Gems. She wanted 14,000 for it off eBay with a check and sales tax and I just couldn't do it. You offered to have it sent to you to save the sales tax. Found it again at a jeweler in Florida for just over half of what Pauline wanted. It arrived today. The band needs to be replaced but I found a nice band that matches the mop face for it and will take it to Chopard tomorrow when I go to SCP. Eventually I think I will want to switch it to a rose gold band. That will have to wait though.

Dreamy! RG + happy diamonds =

I prefer a metal band to a strap, so I'd switch too.

I think I may ask them to switch my WG band on my other watch to this one. I think I would wear it a lot more often that way. Then maybe next year have it replaced with the RG band. I so wish I could wear stainless steel. I love the two-tone look. It would also make the band affordable.

I like that idea. So then your WG watch would have the strap? Are you thinking you'll wear your RG watch more? I know you've wanted one for a while.

I do feel for you about the stainless. It makes things a lot more complicated for you.

Yes, I would put the leather strap on the WG watch. I do think I would wear the two-tone RG/WG more often. I am not super matchy, matchy, but I do like the way that the two-tone looks with the rest of my jewelry. It gives it a more cohesive feel. You are right I have wanted it for awhile but having to buy an all gold watch makes it very expensive. It is hard to justify the purchase of a new watch when I have 3 YG watches and 1 WG watch.

I don't think you need my input to justify your purchase, but I just want to say that although I understand your thoughts about buying another gold watch, it most certainly is an investment. You can pass those watches on to future generations one day, & that would be a precious gift.

I wholeheartedly agree about two-tone jewelry (especially watches). RG/WG is my favorite combo. Whenever I wear a solid RG piece, I still usually wear it with WG in my other pieces. With the RG on the face, I think that watch has the perfect RG in the perfect place. Of all my RG pieces, my favorite are the ones that are WG with RG accents. I would probably stick with the WG band instead of getting a RG band.

I'm so happy for you. I think you're about to create the perfect watch for you. I know how good it feels to finally get the right thing.

I would wear that watch every day. That's the highest compliment I can give. It's the cherry on top of the Sunday that you kept searching until you found it at the right price. It's a win win win win win.

I am glad you could get another Pomeranian. They are such great dogs.
That was a great gift from your DH. Mine got me a heart rose and white gold heart necklace that I need to take a picture of. I Love it.

Pretty. It goes so well with your other jewelry. I try and stay away from the real real. Since I am in California I end up paying sales tax and I am always drawn to the things that are way more than I want to spend. I always find so many things I want. It is too dangerous ;).
Death trap..... The bracelet is the first thing I have ever kept, I always return their clothes however...

Stunning and at a value (two words that go very well together in my book)👸

I am sorry it has taken so long to post again. The update on the Chopard RG/WG with the leather strap is that Chopard was not able to switch my WG band as it didn't fit. I had purchased a croc strap on eBay but it wasn't the right band either. It did fit but there was a hole where the strap should fit flush against the pin. I wore it like that for a few days and just hated it. Also, Chopard would/ could not get a WG strap for the watch because the watch was a special edition and didn't ever come that way. In the meantime, I tried on several watches while we were at the mall as it was my birthday DH was very obliging. I tried on the other watch that I had fallen in love with the Cartier RG w/diamond Ballon Bleu. I thought that the 33 was the size that I wanted and it turned out after trying on several watches I fell in love with the 28mm. Even the SA said it was the perfect size for me and that the 33 was too big. So long story short I found one a few days later on eBay pre-owned with factory diamonds in 28mm and at a price I could stomach. It arrived last week. It is gorgeous and looks brand new. I took it to my jeweler and had a couple of lengths taken out. While I was there I had my jeweler look at my RG/WG Chopard and he was able to find a WG band that I loved and would fit with a little adjustment. I will be picking that up next week. :D I also received RG jewelry for my birthday/Valentine's Day and have pictures as well. I got this little box for Hanukkah from DH and I keep it on my nightstand. It makes it very convenient to take off my jewelry and put in a safe place without having to run upstairs every time I want to take something off.
Stunning and at a value (two words that go very well together in my book)👸
Thank you Susie.

I literally said "awww" when I saw that last pic. Every piece is perfect and jewellery box is precious. I've never been a fan of the Ballon Blue but your watch has changed my mind. It is beautiful on you. Congrats.

Thank you so much. I love my little jewelry box too. I think it was one of my favorite gifts and unexpected as well. Usually my DH pays attention when I see something I love and gets it (within reason)and puts it away until whatever occassion is coming up. I do prefer it that way with jewelry as I would never hurt his feelings. So this was extra special. I really liked the look of the watch but fell in love with it after trying it on. It was my DH's favorite as well. There are so many variations of this watch. My absolute favorite is the RG/SS band. It would have been so much less expensive too. Unfortunately, I can't wear anything except gold or platinum and that makes buying a watch a major investment.

I'm just dying! I'm so happy for you...smiling from ear to ear. Obviously the time is right, & now you have 2 perfect RG watches. Plus your darling husband with his sweet gift. My heart is smiling.

I agree the 28 looks just right on you. You found a good SA, & your jeweler is a great one. I'm so pleased for you. It's a bonus that I love your taste in jewelry so there's eye candy for me too. Hehe ;)

Please tell your husband that his sweetness to you pays off at least doubly. I definitely get overflow happiness.

Stunning Meg! You always do so well on eBay...I'm jealous!

All gorgeous pieces Meg! You have such a darling DH, the box for your nightstand is the sweetest. I'm sure it makes you smile every time you put your jewelry in. The BB is so beautiful, a treasure. And please post pics of the Chopard with the new band when you get it!

Aww, thank you so much F&F! I will tell DH. I am truly blessed. I will post the Chopard as soon as I get it back from my jeweler. You are right my jeweler really is awesome. I knew he would find a band that worked, but I was hoping that I could get an actual Chopard band for the watch. I guess I will just have to think of this as a custom watch that no one else will have. The upside to Chopard not doing the band is when I asked him how much it would run he said probably 15,000 if they even had it. :roflmfao: So probably would not have done it anyway. The band I am getting is still pricey but nowhere near that much.
Stunning Meg! You always do so well on eBay...I'm jealous!
Thank you, SQ! I am thrilled to have found the exact watch that I wanted and for a price that I could afford. There is no way that I would have paid the retail of the watch which is listed on the box. I bought it from midtownwatch on eBay and worked with Ari. They are located in NY so I didn't have to pay sales tax either. I highly recommend them. It took a few days for me to get the watch after I purchased it since it was at a watch show in Texas, but Ari called me daily with updates as to when it would arrive. If I ever am looking for another watch I would check them out first. The watch was so much better than described even my jeweler was impressed. Though he was a bit sad as he had been trying to find me the watch too.

Thank you so much ETK! I will post pictures as soon as I get the Chopard back. It will be sometime this week probably Thursday. I can't wait to see it. Yes, I do smile every time that I put something in that little box. Prior to that, I would take off my jewelry and put it in my nightstand drawer. This is so much better.
