I haven't worn a leather band in many years. I hope you find the RG combo you want.

I know what you're saying about pave. It's glittery. I can't believe I didn't like it when I was younger.

I know I've said this before, but I really do enjoy hearing your stories & seeing your gifts. It makes me happy. You two seem to have a great friendship & a deep love. It's rare.

Thank you so much. We really do. We are best friends and each other's biggest fan. I can't imagine my life without him.

I have always been a fan of pave diamonds. You get more bang for your buck. I love the bling ;)

I know how that goes. I would take it to your jeweler and see if he would give you a trade in allowance. He could fix it much cheaper than it would cost you to have it done and you could have a credit toward something that you would love and wear.

Speaking of love and wear. I got my Valentines Day present early and already have pictures. Rose gold diamond bracelet. I am strictly wanting rose gold these days as I have enough yg and wg. The only exception that would be made is if it is antique or vintage piece that I love.

Wow! I love it so much. It's very beautiful and very "you".

Well, since I am thinking about getting the leather strap and not sure if that will work for me I decided to start with a vintage tri-colored Cartier. I have always loved this watch and it looks to be in excellent condition and for 2,000 not a bad price. I figure I can sell it when I find the one that I want after making sure I can wear the leather strap. I actually would love a rose and white gold watch, but that doesn't seem to exist. I just bought the 30 mm Men's Tri-Color Gold Cartier Vendome watch.

This is so pretty! What year is it?

Great minds! This watch is over 35 years old. It broke and I never had it fixed. Not as nice as yours and smaller but same idea. I can't even read the time WITH cheaters..................
I like the one you bought...classic!

sky - I have the same watch! It is sitting in a jewelry box...I believe I got it for my 10th anniversary (the first 10th anniversary - I had my 2nd 10th anniversary to the 2nd husband last October!), which would have been in 1984. I never even thought of doing something with it - it did get overhauled about 20 years ago, so may only need a battery.

Speaking of watches...I have an Ebel Beluga that was acting up - it kept stopping, I would re-set it, it would run for a while, and then stop again. It finally stopped for good - had a new battery put in but that didn't do it. So...brought it into my jeweler, and they gave me 2 options - they could send it to Ebel, or to a Ebel-licensed repair place in California (which would probably be a bit less expensive) for an estimate...so I had it sent to California. (I think I posted this story) Anyway...it came in at $500...and after thinking about it and finding out that Ebel still makes the watch (retails over $4500) I went for it. Got it back in June - 1 year warranty - whole thing overhauled.

Well...it stopped again 3 weeks ago - I took it back in and it was sent back to California. Picked it up yesterday - working fine. This morning I went to put it on at 6:40 before leaving for work - it had stopped at 6:20. Called again. It ran the whole time it was in California - they went through everything before sending it back. It ran from Friday when I was called until this morning.

I can have it sent back...or they will refund me the money and send it to Ebel, which will probably be more. I think I will go with the Ebel option - opinions are welcome!

That's exactly what I would do. Get the refund, & send it to Ebel.

Very popular Cartier in the 80s. First nice watch I bought myself in Montreal...saved a bit and no tax. When I see it now...no way could I read the time! LOL!
I love Ebel...I agree with Frick send it to them to fix.

I love this on you ETK! This is the watch I am looking for in RG. I have 3 YG watches and 1 WG but no RG and I have been buying some RG jewelry lately and would love a Cartier watch. I am going to try some on when we go to SCP for my birthday shopping trip in a few weeks and then stalk the resale market for a used one.

I love the way this looks on you Susie.

I think this is a perfect size for you. I only have one larger watch the Chopard Happy Sport that I had to get used to the size, but now I love it and would like a similar size in my next watch. Like you I have small wrists and larger hands.

I am surprised that you can wear sterling silver with a nickel allergy. I have that too but can't wear silver at all. Even some 14k gold bothers me especially earrings. I love David Yurman pieces in silver. They are just gorgeous.

Hi GD. Welcome. I think that there are some fun things on Etsy, but I am not sure that I would spend a great deal of money there.
Thank you Meg. What's this I see, ur little Pommy died? I'm so sorry.

I would send it to Ebel for sure.

Thank you, Susie. Yes, we had to have him pts last year. We miss him so much.
Me to with my Pom. I did get another. Soooo hard, I understand.

The new VD gift is stunning. Can't see the rose gold but I know how hard it is to capture hues on the puter. I'm getting a CHANEL bracelet from the Real Real coming next week. GOTTA STOP? What's wrong with me? This time of the year with all the "deals" gets me in trouble time and time again. At least this is a gift from DH so I can assuage my guilt!

Didn't want to like the bracelet geeze I 💔💔💔💔❤️ the darn thing. Extra 30 percent off on Real Real makes it easy to commit, plus the fact it goes with my stuff.

I am glad you could get another Pomeranian. They are such great dogs.
That was a great gift from your DH. Mine got me a heart rose and white gold heart necklace that I need to take a picture of. I Love it.

Pretty. It goes so well with your other jewelry. I try and stay away from the real real. Since I am in California I end up paying sales tax and I am always drawn to the things that are way more than I want to spend. I always find so many things I want. It is too dangerous ;).

I ended up sending the watch back I just didn't love it. I did however find a rose and white gold Chopard Happy Sport. Remember that one I loved about a year ago and really wanted from Pauline at La Jolla Gems. She wanted 14,000 for it off eBay with a check and sales tax and I just couldn't do it. You offered to have it sent to you to save the sales tax. Found it again at a jeweler in Florida for just over half of what Pauline wanted. It arrived today. The band needs to be replaced but I found a nice band that matches the mop face for it and will take it to Chopard tomorrow when I go to SCP. Eventually I think I will want to switch it to a rose gold band. That will have to wait though.

I love this Chopard...much more YOU! A RG band would be perfect!

Thanks, SQ. I am loving it too. I wish it had a larger face like my YG one does, but it is still so beautiful. Even DH said this was worth the money and that rarely happens. While he never tells me what I can spend or even asks how much something costs this time he did and said it was worth it. I will inquire today about the price of a RG band when I have them put on the strap that I bought for it. I even thought of changing my WG band on my other Chopard to this one since they are the same size and putting the strap on my WG Happy Sport. It will take me awhile to get used to a leather strap. At least the one I bought is pretty and new. I could never wear someone else's strap with their dirt on it.
