^LOL...that's my favorite too!!! I'm thinking the head of the setting should be in RG with the shank in WG.
I generally prefer my rings to have as few diamond accents as possible. I'd rather put the majority of my money into the center stone.
I love the simplicity of the setting. it will really show your spinel off. plus, like you said, all of the light that will be allowed into the stone. I have quite a few earrings in similar settings, & I really do like that double-prong look a lot. I can't wait to see what you decide to do
^I think black diamonds are fab. I only have 1 ring with a few black diamonds. I think hoops paved with black diamonds would be spectacular.

no I think what I would do is take the diamonds out of the cluster ring and put them in the rg setting for the spinel
Dialv- that sounds really cool! the only thing i would be worried about is enclosing the spinel in metal, it's already a medium tone and i'm scared that halo-ing it would darken the colour....hmm...

^ah, I see...no I think what I would do is take the diamonds out of the cluster ring and put them in the rg setting for the spinel
^do you mean with a black spinel? or with candice's pink one? I like black with black AND pink with black, so it's a win-win for me as an observer

2 new pieces just arrived! Nothing fancy, just colored gems on SS, but I think they are so cute! A citrine ring for my grandmother and a pair of green amethyst earrings for me!
I'm leaving to take the ring to her I have so much stress over the size I was taking measurements and stressing about the size for the longest time!

^definitely do...I'd love to see what you choose in black diamonds. there's always a micropave eternity to stack plus matching hoops 
I've been looking at green amethyst earrings myself! what do yours look like? oval? round? what size? my standard for studs is 8mm round. I'm not sure if I want that in the green. This setting would look stunning in RG...love the simplicity and the double prongs. Your stone will be the center of attention.
I just had my tennis bracelet checked, for insurance, plus my security chain broke. It's being sent away...2 lose diamonds, check the setting and they'll re-plate it. Should look brand new. But I feel naked!!!
Bad news (or good, depending) the bracelet had gone up, in price, and I have to have my insurance adjusted.
