Jewelry box ideas?

So I've been shopping online and was ready to get this one (1) or this one (2) because they have all the features I've been looking for - compartments for earrings and bracelets, ring rolls, necklace hooks, space deep enough for watches, and a lock. But then I came across this one (3) and was blown away.

The craftsmanship on the last box is so exquisite and beautiful. At first glance, I didn't like the look of the earring tray but then I read the description and was inspired by the design details. The only thing it doesn't have is a lock but I'm going to see if they could add one for me.

Before I pull the trigger are there any other options out there that I should look at?

i just purchased this one in white from pottery barn today. can't wait to receive it because now i keep my rings in separate boxes hidden in my underwear drawer. lovely!

i don't have THAT much jewelry to justify spending $200+ for a jewelry box. maybe some day. :shrugs:

I think the PB boxes look very functional and well designed. I really need space for watches so I started looking around and then found all these other options. I can't believe I'm spending so much time looking for a jewelry box, haha.

To be honest, I don't have that much jewelry either but this should be the only jewelry box I will ever buy again so there's room to grow my collection! I figure if/when the collection gets too big, it's time to move some things to the safe deposit box.

Hi Ladies!

Can anyone give me ideas of where to get and what to look for in a jewelry box? I have looked online a little and there sure are a lot of ugly ones out there! The only one I saw that I kind of liked was at Pottery Barn.

I definitely don't need anything really big, I only have a few things.

Thanks for any thoughts!

I was going to mention the one at Pottery Barn! Are you sure we're not secretly the same person? If I am thinking of the same one (wood with glass lid and linen interior, plus a drawer below), I got it and use it on my bathroom counter to hold my makeup!

QVC has some that have tarnish-free interiors, but I cannot attest to whether they are pretty.

ETenebris - I think we are definitely the same person, lol!

Monica - No, it doesn't have to be a jewelry box, I just need something my daughter can't easily topple, and something that doesn't take up too much room.

I bought one at Pottery Barn yesterday in red lizard emboss, it's perfect for me. Includes a little travel box as well, it was on sale. I don't see it online, go to a store if you get a chance. Mine isn't huge.
