Vanessa comes off as very insecure. Maybe she just can't stand having Jessica as a topic of conversation. I remember a few years back when she said that everything Nick did, they had to do together, for example Dancing with the Stars and a few other shows. That screams insecurity to me.
Omg!! I’ve always liked Jess’ silliness and her out there personality. I find it cute and funny, but from a distance yk? I’m not sure I could deal with her everyday if I knew her personally. But I love love Andy and the way he circled back about the gift and asked her AGAIN-just to be clear.
Sounds like old Jess was caught in a lie. What else has she lied about? Now I’m going to search and see what she said to Hoda originally that started this whole thing.
Shade alert: I also like how she had to mention her daughter said, dad is much cuter than your X. Apparently her LO has watched newlyweds. I’m a mom to a young girl and my daughter doesn’t talk like that. “So and so is cuter etc.” However, I can see a more precocious child saying something like that I guess... or is Jess lying again?!

IMO, Jessica sounds kinda immature to be sharing that. Is she still bitter over the breakdown of her marriage with Nick?

I think she's always dropped unnecessary digs like that. I think she also spoke about him having a small penis. I always wondered if it's just immaturity or she feels she needs to find justification in herself for divorcing him other than her wanting to do her own thing.

To be blunt, Jessica’s “value” was her good looks and sexiness. I would guess her personality development was not something her parents focused on. She reminds me a bit of Mariah Carey - loopy, spoiled, making tons of money so no one says no to her.

I could totally see this...why would she publicly say they sent her a gift if they didn’t—she knows they’ll be asked about it, especially since they’re back in the spotlight (having a show of their own I guess?). That or someone in her camp sent it to drum up drama and interest.
IMO she’s always spoken like that—sort of sticking out her jaw when she spoke. Even back to the newlywed days—I know this because I temporarily adopted it when I was obsessed with her back in the day (I know, but I was just a teenager).
I’m really lovingly the memoir—it’s a bit darker than I thought it would be, so very sad.
