Well, the idea of marrying a man who can support a himself and a family is not wrong. It's the extreme, the gold-digging that sort of makes me feel sad but very rampant in the new generation.

I don't get their romance, but Bezos is not a stupid man, so there must be some deep connection between these two because really he could have gone for much younger, much prettier women, if he only wanted someone new.

I wish them well.

Lots of bling and botox, so it seems. I can't imagine what it's like to have the resources they have. They will always be surrounded by celebrities, politicians, scammers... It can be tiring. To be honest, I wouldn't like to be in their shoes. However, it must be a lot better than having major financial difficulties, as unfortunately happens to many people in this world. As long as they don't harm other people with their wealth, I wish them good luck.

Compared to the first (and so far only) marriage of Melinda and Bill Gates, I don't think Melinda has had any work done, or at least anything drastic. Melinda is so rich and has nothing to lose by "aging gracefully" if she puts herself back into the dating pool. Lauren is no dummy and IMO will do anything to keep her mega-rich man so she's compelled to undergo any Jessica Rabbit procedure to maintain his attention. She knows she isn't 25 but is bent on trying to look like it. She's hooked her fish and all she needs to do is reel him in. She won't gain an ounce or tolerate a wrinkle until that happens. Who needs tabloids when we have this thread, lol!

but it doesn't look good....those lips...eww....he is the richest man in the world. If what he is looking for is sexy or beautiful he could do better. But I guess they have some things in common beyond looks or sex.

Can't argue with that! But she takes pains to maintain an image that he apparently likes. And, having been on TV news, she had to project a personality that resonated with a lot of viewers. Unlike TV actors who follow fictitious scripts, newscasters sink or swim on their own personality.
