I love your watches. Really, it's so difficult, I have a sizeable collection--a mix of classic, blingy, fun, etc. For your first serious watch, pls. don't pick the Gucci or Dior. Great brands, but as watch afficiandos will tell the name of your watch should not also be on your jeans, or whatever. The creme de la creme is Patek Phillippe, even better Rolex, I am told. However, since budget might be a consideration, why not a nice Concord, or Tag, or perhaps a nice Longines? (I love some of there tank watches.). Raymond Weil is another brand to consider. Your first watch doesn't have to be a Rolex if you don't want it to be; it's not the price of watch that makes it good, so you have lots of options. If you take good care of your watch, it is going to last you for years without any problems. The irony is, today I had to send a high end watch in for repair, and I have only had it two months. On the other hand, my little Guess watch I bought in 1993 still works. Go figure.
