thanks you guys!:love
Chaz, Leon is an AMAZING artist
risingsun, there you are!LOL!

Thank you!
I am practicing my picture taking skills before posting on PS
OOO,couple of tips for you then,if you want them that is!!! When I photograph diamonds its quite hard not too get too much glare on them, they sparkle, but it comes out as blurs instead of bright little pinpoints. And if you take a pic where the light is too intense,it makes the reflections inside look a bit weird.
Best thing I found is put a couple of chopsticks through the shank or a knife handle or something, anything that will make it stand upright and keep both hands free, you can move about a little then and decide which angle the light looks best, instead of trying to get your hands, camera and ring all in the right place at the right time!!!
Next thing, pick a really sunny windowsill and sellotape a peice of white photocopier paper to the window, put the ring on the window sill in front of it and you get a beautiful diffuse lighting that shows every detail without you fighting glare!!!
Neighbours might think you are a bit weird, but hey!!! (give your stone a good wash first too,if you use macro on your camera it shows up EVERY damn thing!!)
( and yeh,I think I might see if he will ship over here and get him to re-set mine and my diamond studs in the martini setting, just too fabulous!!xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx)
